Meh, I don't care just keep it to yourself.

I need confirmations of exactly how much everyone is sending to deal with the zombie crisis.

Key word there is everyone.

the thing is, its supposed to be the spirit of the treaty not the word(thats just how god's work- they aren't lawyers) except Dagha (who seems to be a lawyer) .

also- you can break them- junil didn't totally destroy the bannor- it costs them 50g and 25rp - a big bump but not unrecoverable.

In honesty I think Junil is more of a lawyer, and Dagda more interested in the spirit of the thing. Dagda is the God of balance, equality, fairness etc, whereas in lore Junil, the God of Law, tends to be very strict and expects laws (and clauses of treaties) to be followed to the letter. In my opinion, I would have done nothing wrong in Junil's eyes as I did not, technically break a tennet of the treaty.

I think the fact that the Gods only appreciate the general spirit of the treaty and not the actual tennets undermines the ability to fine print your way out of responsibilities, part of the fun of treaty-writing. Whole treaties are simplified down to ''Player A pays Player B x, Player B does not kill Player A'', despite the fact that the actual treaty could have had lots of different clauses and conditions that affect the duties of the Players at different times.

I like the basic idea of the God's interfering with betrayal, but I think they should bother to actually read the treaty first before smiting the culprit.

Of course, it's up to the mod, but that is (and will be) my interpretation of Gods witnessing treaties.

From Silver Grass Elves
To Every nation I have contact with.

We request 5 gold to be donated and military assistance sent, to defend our village. We have to complete it. However undead hordes are huge, so small military force will not help us.

OOC: This is the last post I make as Silver Grass Elves, It is upto immac, whatever he decides to accept my crazy idea(s).

So no reply from me, for a while.

Unless you tell me specifically, either in public or by PM, what it is, I will not give you anything. For all I know this artifact you are creating could only add to our problems.

EDITED: sorry- not the right way to address the issue

Oops- i deleted my entire PM box. Those of you who voted by PM for your favorite story- please resubmit your vote.
remember- votes are by PM or e-mail... writing which one you think is best in the thread doesn't count.

EDIT: @LDI - awesome story. has the ring of Braveheart in it. didn't catch a lovecraft reference though

I copied the adjectives describing the voice from 'The Testimony of Randolph Carter'. Therefore the gelatinous which doesn't really fit, being a bit too Lovecraftian.

If no nation will help us, we will not be able to provide enough protection to our village, many will die and artifact will fall to the hands of infected. We have placed basic protection spells on this artifact, but we are unable to protect our village - there are too many infected.

This was meant as a gift to Elves, if they should ever come to power, but we are unable to finish creating this artifact, we afraid, we won't last long enough to properly finish creating this and making it unique object for elven race only.

You must protect artifact and it's creation team, at all costs. Generations of hard work, reason, why we got exiled for in the first place, must not be abandon due some selfish kingdoms, who decide their own interests come before generations of hard work!

OOC: Northen Wolf. I find what you are saying very confusing. You talk of a village, but I have no idea where it is or what. I don't understand how one can be expected to defend it without knowing where it is. As for the artefact, this is first news too. If it's strong and dangerous but weakly protected, you look like you're advertising for someone to attack you.

OOC!

The Mist Elves can in no way contribute to this- not that they would, the Forgotten House still has yet to earn back its honour- correct?

Please vote for my story, all!

To everyone that posted in the thread about it: Remember, only PM's or emails count! Plus, that funny Immac decided to try and SKEW THE SYSTEM by deleting the 200 votes for me he already had... No one wants to see your vote for me go uncounted. So please make sure to re-send if you have to.

Thanks!

Please vote for my story, all!

OOC: Sorry, just went through an operation, (what, as I understand failed), so this is last message today going to sleep a bit:

IC
We have reconsidered and we request no military support

We, the Silver Grass Elves, have been working on a certain artifact for 2 elven generations, This artifact is powerful, but we need more time to finish it. Our base, incase someone yet does not know, has been Northern Ir-O-Kee land, so thats where our small village is located.

However soon, our village will be under siege by these infected, our warriors are good, but we cannot win this fight, as our numbers are limited. However, if some nation decides to fund our project, we believe that we can keep undead away from our village, until we finish creating this artifact.

That nation, that funds us, can then claim ownership of that artifact, however it is possible that he has to fight with undead to reclaim our village ruins.

This artifact, however cannot be used by non-intelligent beings, so it should be safe from undead and possible looters. Think of it, as that Griogris Artifact-Weapon(spear), what you happened to "lose". This is similar artifact, what any nation could claim and use in battle, we belive it also is more powerful than Grigoris (Patriarh?) spear, as two elven generations have spend their lives to built this.

If I'm correct, it will also be powerful against undead beings.

However, we lack gold, to finish it, anyone who provides us with gold to finish it, may claim this artifact as their own.

Any nation may help us to finish it, if you supply gold, we can defend our project until it is finished, You then just have to claim this artifact from undead and prove that you are intelligent enough to use it.

To Mist Elves
You may donate, like any other nation, this artifact was meant for your usage, but as we have no time, we cannot make it elf-only usable.

Also, We have a special request (what I won't reveal yet, as Discussing it with Immac) to your leader, what might be useful to you, depending of your reply. No gold is needed to funfill that request, rather militaristic type of support...

Since you want everyone, Tuan is not giving anything. I don't have any money for that to begin with, and the zombies don't look that dangerous to me :D.

A note on death mana:
now that Lorath (sp?) is involving himself so directly in the affairs of souls, death mana nodes will strengthen the cult of grey (or other lorath worshippers).... it still doesn't do anything for worshippers of arawn because arawn doesn't give a damn about this side of creation.
also: death mana will provide a .5 military quality bonus to undead units used by that side.

surprisingly these changes were requested by ken, not orange.

OOC:
I can't help but feel it a bit strange that Lorath be linked to Death mana. He's dead, yes, but he is the master of Spirit, not Death sphere. Death sphere is the dominion of Barbatos, who is a lich imprisoned in his sepulcher (couldn't be defeated definitely by Kylorin, in the same way Perpentach couldn't). Barbatos couldn't be sent off from this world by Kylorin while Laroth was, so I would daresay that Barbatos is not only better with Death mana but also stronger, strictly speaking, than Laroth alone.

But Laroth is in the realm of dead and is seeking to become a god of Death, so it makes sence.

... Or does it? :mischief:. I wonder why Ken would submit that request to strengthen the grey cult.

Bet 2 cents that he is making his own undead army... *stares at the gravedigging activity...*

OOC:
I'm not super good at lore so maybe someone can correct me, but i do believe he is trying to usurp arawn's domain and become god of death, hence the link.
in this world the sidar have 'made contact' with him and are openly worshipping him. the grey arch may also be dedicated to lorath and strengthening him--- for all i know
