FfH2 0.14 Cosmetic Issues

Was that, "Thanks for the list, I've now fixed them," or "Those have already been fixed, but thanks anyway."? :lol:

I'm assuming the former. I'll continue tomorrow with that file - right now I have some Elohim to destroy.

If anyone else wants to continue where I left off (line 201), feel free (Chandrasekhar?).

Yeap, those were all unknown until you mentioned them. They are all fixed now. Keep sending them in.
 
If im fighting a priest/mage and losing it looks alright (though im not feeling alright). However, if i am "winning" the fight, both participants just sort of stand there and stare at each other until the priest/mage class disapears.

This is gonna be changed eventually i hope?

I guess this is simply because priests and wizards use the CivIV missionaries 3D models, which are non-combat units. They must be lacking some animations (my guess is : unit dying animation), so that they just don't move at all in some situations where it would be expected. I noticed that Typhoid Mary (CivIV Spy model) had the same sort of issue, as well as Assassins.

You're right now that you mention it...and that does make sense. Fixable? Or ignorable? I'm good with either.

I too would like to know how to use spoilers in order to best reduce my posting size.
 
Graphic issues with 0.14d.

I had no problems up until now.

After installing 0.14d, a lot of units (in particular bloodpets, hunders and orthus) appear as 3 red circles, and when meeting or contacting leaders, I get a pink square instead of their picture.

I would be grateful for any suggestions.

Is there a way to force all ships to use the galley attack graphics?

Considering i dont invest any effort into gunpowder, i find it alarming my ships seem to be shooting "explosively hurled led balls" at other ships. I noticed my oft technologically inferior foes are doing the same.

So, if things were back to arrows and (i know its in the works) boarding parties, that'd be grand.

Gileyal: did you install the patch to 0.14d but not the full thing? You need to install 0.14a then patch it to .14d.

@vorshlumpf: Good job. Shouldn't that be "Then why do you keep" in the second one though?

The pedia entry for philosophy states that is "allows temple", which it doesn't (I'm sure I built a lot of Kilmorph temples already, and I still don't have researched philo).

There's no civilopedia entry whatsoever for the upgradeable heroes the whojamacallits have, even in with the Great People - I guess I'll have to play with them to find out how they work :)

EDIT: Yes there is, you just have to know they're called Adventurers to find it :)
 
Just noticed the dragon's breathe fire ability is misnamed "breath fire". "Breathe" with the e is the verb, "breath" without it is a noun.

Might be an idea to rename The Drown to "Drowned" - it sounds less strange and avoids the "you have trained a The Drown" message in game.
 
I don't know - since my initial aversion to the name, I've kind of grown to like my The Drown. =)

maybe its my computer, but i noticed that with the .14d patch, the infernals (i was conquering them) no longer have 'demon' animations for the ruhin archers like in .13.

(i know they are new, but spearmen dont have the animation either).

It might be my comp though...its a 5 year old laptop, and my graphics card is below civ 4 minimum system specs.
