FfH2 0.14 Cosmetic Issues

On that page of Cosmetic bugs for 0.12 Xereq says he had the same problem.

And Chalid says right after "Probaly they are eithr pointing to unmodified shader nifs (_fx) or some textures are missing."

Very odd. I tried switching my graphics settings around to see if I can reproduce it and I did notice that some textures are missing at lower resolutions. But on my computer they just use the origional texture (so the orc axeman has an archer head).

What graphics setting are you at? And if you aren't at high does the problem go away of you switch to high?

I tried all High and same thing. I have the WhiteFlags fix, could that be responsible?

I wouldnt think so the fix itself is causing it since its just a replacement of the flags file. But I bet its the same thing that causes the white flag problem (video driver differences). I would be interested to see the video cards of those that have the issue.

A minor issue I've noticed is that when the Dwarven Hammerfists 'stab' their warhammers into the ground to stretch, the hammer becomes a sword (as it is in the base graphic - the swordsman). This doesn't happen all the time, but I didn't care enough to see if it there was a pattern to it.

Another minor issue, my girlfriend's laptop has to use minimal graphics settings, and goblins often appear as immortals (I thought I was toast when I saw the first barb goblin come at me).

If you want any further details on these, let me know.

When used with the base terrain, the ashen veil improvements are a pretty horrid eyesore. Perhaps have their improvements overlap somewhat on the square so I don't have that cheerful green grassland poking through the glorious black and red?

Beware the Goblin Imortal...he'll peck you to death.
I noticed the Warhammer "stabby" thing too. Its not a major issue, but i think it might be complex for them to fix?

While in Republic i somewhere read "we love the prime minister" or something silmilar. Maybe changing prime minster to chancellor (sp?) would be more flavourful.

Can't remember if it's been mentioned, but there are some of those squares in the text for Divine Right.

Fixed thanks.

"___ has abandoned you" messages appear green. They should be in red. (And the text should be XMLized for internationalization purposes.)

Could you change the unhappines modifier (when you look at why your citizens are unhappy in the city screen) from "we will not fight with our brothers and sisters of the same faith" to "we will not fight against our brothers and sisters of the same faith". Makes more sense in my opinion (but I'm not a native speaker - so maybe I'm wrong...)

I'm wondering why the Calabim have to be "Calabim-the Order of Blood" instead of just "Calabim". The name is just too long, IMO.

Am I the only one that thinks that the maceman unit doesn't fit the whole fantasy world feel? In most fantasy settings that I can think of, maces aren't really superior to swords and axes anyway. Further, if maces are so powerful, why doesn't a single hero that I can recall use one?

Would there be any possibility of replacing maces with something more... flavorful?

I'd argue that the maceman is plenty flavorful. In most systems, the sword is a specialty weapon, it's what you use when your main focus in life is to kill other people. The mace shows up when you've pulled some poor rube off the street, said "Congratulations, welcome to the Army boy..." showed him how to swing it to smash things, and then thrown him on the front line. I dunno if that's the role the maceman fills here... but then again, it feels in FfH as if we're fielding these highly elite professional forces...

K, text turned red and run through the translator.

What, so we have skilled tier 2-units, easily mass-produceable tier-3 units, and then highly skilled tier-4 units again? It just doesn't seem right for FfH, I guess.
