FfH2 0.15 Bugs

blah! my mistake, it just started ike 15 minutes after it started loading... whats with that?

How long did you wait? FfH2 takes at least a full minute to load up (on fast machines) and several minutes (or more) on slower machines.

Check the frequently asked questions thread, it will answer this and many other things you may not understand.

However, recently it was reported that FFH2 loads much faster if you install it in My Documents/My Games instead, though I haven't tried it myself yet.

In addition, make a shortcut to your desktop for FFH2 or change the .ini file, so you won't need to restart the game to load it.

I asked them to remove it last time. Because people run it that way, it has problems and I start getting PM's and reports of issues. I don't mind people switching to that way if it works better for them, but it won't be the "recommended" configuration because not everything works that way.

Here's a bug in 15h multiplayer (don't know if it is also single player) With the Luchiurp, golems built in cities that have both the building that adds heavy and the one that adds fireball have some real problems: they seem to lose all of their action buttons. The only way to deslect them is to give them a goto with the mouse. (Then the whole interface becomes unstable)

I'm playing the Kuriotates in 015j in a single player game. When I pick another trait from being Adaptive, I'm losing my philosophical trait. I'm under the impression with adaptive that behavior shouldn't occur.

from the 'j' patch - playing khazad - put a hawk on a hunter - his options buttons disappeared and i couldnt promote him or do anything with him except move with the right mouse click - if i double click on the guy - the hawk becomes active and i cant move him at all

As I understand it, Cardith Lorda's Philosophical Trait is simply his 'default' setting for Adaptive. Otherwise, they'd have, what, FIVE traits? Nuh-uh. Practiaclly speaking, it's just the three... Expansive, Sprawling, and Adaptive (which defaults to Philosophical).

That being said... there IS actually a bug in the Kuriotates trait system, which is actually related to the default of Philosophical. One of the effects of Philosophical is that it eliminates the upkeep cost for all Education civics. In my game, I swapped it for Creative (early city rush) and later Arcane (just after developing Knowledge of the Ether). However, I'm still not paying anything for Education civics...

I'd upload a save, but apparently my save file is just barely over the limit, so I can't. It should be easy to confirm, though... just start any game as the Kuriotates, switch off Philosophical, and see if any upkeep costs are listed for the Education civics.

I was having a heck of a time involving those new icons above the unit icons area, a hawk, and a hunter. The little icons disappeared and I couldn't access anything in the stack etc..

Again I don't know if this is intentional or a bug, but I just discovered that workers cannot build another improvement (ex a Windmill) on a plot with a dwarven mine.

-- I try not to let fear of hypocrisy get in the way of my whining.

Don't know if it is intentional either. But you are probably unable to replace them because they are unpillageable.

Dwarven Mine is a new feature in 0.15, additional no. 9. It is unpillageable and has bigger change to get resource (copper etc).

I was Kuriotates when I went to look at the whole world and clicked on show religions. Than the game crashed...

The 'religion spread' layer causes CTD. I think it was also the case in Vanilla (I can't remember having ever seen it work).

Hawks are fixed in 0.16.

I have been working with patch G still(as I haven't had any problems that future patches seem to fix), but here is something I noticed that would be a huge help...
When playing a sprawling Civ and capture an enemy city, if you have any more Cities left, it automatically makes them so, else they become Settlements. It would be nice if you could choose which type of city it will become when you capture it.
Quite annoying when you capture a minor city in a not-so-great location and one of your Cities gets used up.

Cheers!

This actually isnt a bug but an enhancement request, but I will probably get this added to 0.16.
