FfH2 0.15 Bugs

Hi, I'm new to the forum. I downloaded Fall From Heaven 2.015k on Tuesday and have been playing it since. I haven't finished my first game yet, but here are a couple of bugs that popped up:

I've been playing single player as Ellohim on a large map. When I finished my first wonder (Tomb of Sucellus), all the screen text changed to little colored blocks. The text boxes still worked and I was able to save and restart, but I had to go all the way back to the desktop twice and reload the mod to get the text back. The first time it cleared up the map text, but the text in the city screens was still colored blocks.

A few turns later (less than 10), the ancient forest tile set turned red and blotchy. This only affected ancient forest tiles, not any others. Again, I was able to recover by saving and reloading the mod.

That is very strange. It almost sounds like your video card is running out of memory to cache all the textures. Im hoping that it will be much better with version 0.16 since Im redoing all the 2d pictures and shrinking them dramatically. What kind of video card do you have?

Well I am playing as the Ljosalfar and I have some elven warriors of >100 XP and I attacked and checked their prior XP and their post XP when attacking small units (goblins) and I only got 1 XP from the attack.

Normally you wouldnt have gotten 0 xp for the attack. Because you had the raider trait you got 1 xp.

Ah that'd be it!

Another annoying bug - when I have 4 ppl in my city (deity survival game) it says I have a happy cap of 5 ppl. However as soon as I get 5 ppl then it says I have a happy cap of 4 ppl (due to demanding foreign trade) - I am at war with everyone else (survival game).

I have an NVIDIA GeForce4 Ti4200 with 128MB of video RAM. The computer is about two years old.

Yup, they start demanding more when there are more people in the city.

How do you check how much culture an enemy city has? I went into worldbuilder and looked at a barbarian city with 1 person and only the city square (so obviously it had been hurt by the cult in the city) and I looked at something and it said -50 culture but the city had +55% defence. Was the -50 culture thing wrong or something? Where would I look please?

Culture defense does NOT stack with building defense. The only way I can think of to see the amount of culture a city has is through a spy but that is vanilla civ. Why would you care about a 1 square barbarian city anyway? Rather that the city remains there than get destroyed and allow another fresh city to spawn there.

I am pretty sure (not positive, mind you) that culture defense does not stack with building defenses. When was the last time you saw a city with a higher bonus than 75% (max culture bonus, I think). If they stacked it would be trivial to see bonuses higher than 100 (wall, castle, archery range, culture).

Pallisades also become obsolete fairly early.

i figured wall def didnt show up in that thing, like if you build on a hill it doesnt show in the def % of the city bar

is there any way it could be added that they dont stack? i can't think of any reason to bother building them now that i know that... the Khazad capital somehow gets a stackable +20% def

Palisades dont exist on 0.16.

Is Hyboreum alowed to convert to leaves?
He did in a game of mine just now.
I thought I remember something about him only using the veil.

He really favors the Veil (as in, if he has one Veil city and five Leaves ones, he'll convert to the Veil), but if he gets a few cities of another religion, he'll convert. Takes more cities for more opposed religions, though.
