FfH2 0.25 Bug Thread

I'm having the 'no city interface' problem as well.

2. Windows 2000 Pro
3. FfH2 is installed on F:, otherwise normal directory (all programs are installed on F: )
4. Store copy of BtS
5. civilizationiv.ini linked below
6. Warlords installed and patched

I'm having the exact same python error shown in Psychic_Llamas's image.

Edit: I applied the "CvMainInterface.py" file you had in the thread dedicated to the city interface problem, and it's fixed the problem. The city interface is back and there's no python error.
 
- Hawks cannot be rebased to hunters, even if only 2 squares away. It can, however, be loaded into them when on the same tile.
- The revolting symbol (red fist) is not shown after conquering a city, just the ":" and number of turns left.
- Events that change the attitude of one or more leaders towards you/one another don't have any consequences (i.e. the failed marriage, the "olympic" games, etc.). The modifier is indicated in the decision window, but not shown/counted afterwards in the attitude mouse-over.
- I won the quest to build 4 stables by just building a single one (in my capital).

Played 175 turns as the Malakim
1. Got Runes of Kilmorph, did not get a Thane of Kilmorph when founded, is this intended?
2. Built Bambur, he did not get the Nomadic promotion, is this intended?
3. Hawk could not be rebased to hunter, could be loaded on though.
4. got an event for + 2 health for every city, did not see it reflected in city screen or see how long it was supposed to last.
5. did not see the option for the new larger than HUGE map size, has it been added in yet? (I was able to get the extra civs added so I could play a game on huge with all 19 civs w/room for Basium/Hyborem)
6. Archeron the Red dragon came into the world in year 110 and promptly walked southeast 2 hexes to a watch tower and has been camped there ever since. The Dragons Hoard was built though.
7. The city unhappiness and unhealth icons are not there above the city name, is this a BTS new feature or a bug?

Otherwise, game has been playing very well
 
somehow the Doviello Capital became the Cult of the Dragon Capital, but its been in their hands the whole time (their only city).

Orthus Axe can be passed around even after youve fought, so in a stack, every single unit can use it in a turn to attack with all their movement.

Well, P_L and I have about the same setup. Vista and no Warlords installation.
 
I had no problem with city interface but I can answer/post file if that helps you.

I had a few games with the Lannun and you cannot connect pearls. You can work them and get the bonuses, but you dont add for happiness or as a tradable resource.

Also, I noticed Guerilla is +40% Hon hills, but Woodsman is only +20% for forests, is that intended ?

Settler with Sentry II still has limited line of sight by hills, forests, etc.

Also, has there been a change in the combat system ? I attacked a city garrisoned with 4 orc warriors, Combat I. I crashed 8 warriors at them to make them lose HP, then attacked with four warriors Combat I, Orc Slaying. Odds were over 90% and two died.
 
- when clearing jungle on the Yggdrasil unique feature the food bonus was gone and the resource remained (+1 :) & +2 health)
- when ancient forest is spreading on the Tomb of Succelus unique feature it is no longer possible to build a life mana node on top of it as the Ljosalfar
- by casting destroy undead I recieved no warning that the spell will declare war on a friendly nation (with a Ljoslafar priest of leaves on Clan of Embers)
- when switching to the Mercurians after building the gate the game stopped continuing (it didn't freeze!! could still use the menu etc.) with the message "Waiting for other civilizations" - this happened again on reloading. I did have the mercurian flag, but no city was listed in the domestic advisor, there was Basium in the city and angels around it, also war was declared by my old civ on Hiborem & his teammate. Essentially I got stuck between turns without an end turn button. When I loaded the game after saving it in this state the next turn seems to have started and it works as expected.
- Basium was not my "best" defender when he was at full health an already over 150xp (the other units were an angel and a pikeman, both level 2 or 3). So I lost the angel and the pikeman was reduced to only 1 of the 3 guys left before Basium started to defend (of course he didn't suffer real damage...). Weird preference.
 
Multiplayer OOS
Putting AIs in the game caused it to OOS on turn 1
With No Lairs and No Barbarians and no AIs we didn't get an OOS, though strangely Lairs remain even with No Lairs checked, but they didn't spawn any barbs (tho that could be because of No Barbarians).

I put AIs (even chose leaders) and got no OOS. Maybe it's the randomness and if you choose them it's ok ?
We tried Hemispheres map with the Barbarian Cities option on and I didn't see any Barbarian city at start. Then we tried Highlands (cylindrical) and the option worked... even a bit too much. I started surrounded by 3 Barbarian cities and Acheron spawned in one of them quite early, causing mass fires in a huge forest.
Overall I've seen very few OOS but I forgot to activate debug so I have no clues on the reasons, but it's definitely playable in Multiplayer (Direct Connection). The only thing I can say is we have yet to see any event.
 
some cosmetic issues

the properties of buildings arent displaying properly in the production options. the +gold,research,culture part is missing from every building ive built so far (obelisk, elder council, temple of kilmorph). the happiness/health/specialist info is fine, and the buildings are working as expected.

also the cities dont display happiness/health any more in map view
 
I don't know if it is supposed to work like this, but when you change from your old civ to Basium and do the convert spell you get no culture at all. This means that any opponents bordering the city will push their cultural borders right up to the city. Which will then of course starve quite a bit and be pretty unproductive. That really sucks! There should be some culture, or maybe even all, transfered!

I posted this on the 2.025 changes thread last night, I'll post it here too so it is in the correct location.

Couple of things I noticed:
- Giant Spider prowling around took a wood-golem and I got the golem (I don't believe I should have captured him).
- Towers don't seem to give the extra sight when standing on them.
- The jade statues that give +3 note that "we love our national parks" - could that be changed to something more clearly related?
 
Yeah something is wrong with the barbarians.

I was at peace with them as calabim and in my current game the AI Bannor are apparently at peace with them, since the barbs ignore unprotected Bannor workers and march straight into my lands.

I guess it´s caused by getting a lair or barrow inside your civs culture radius, since that´s what happened in the calabim game. In the game with the Bannor there are tons of lizardmen coming, indicating that they have "captured" one of their ruins.

Oh and what´s up with the cost of the freak unit? Why would I ever build one if I can instead build 2 warriors and have hammers left over?

edit: Tried the barrow thing and couldn´t replicate it. Found another bug though: It seems as if all investment for a chance events are broken. Just got the horticulture event (+1 in the plot or chance for scientist and +3 health) and could choose the scientist directly.
 
I think the "start with Barb cities" and the double animals game options are around the wrong way, when I played a game with double animals set, there were almost no animals but lots of barb cities.
 
I also haven't gotten an event yet using the Living world Option, which is supposed to make them more frequent.
