FfH2 0.25 OOS errors

Interesting, It may be Orthus related since I seem to remember it happened after Orthus appeared. But I could be wrong in memory. I do have a save if anyones interested ... also with debug options visible I didnt see anything extra when OOS error happened.
 
Any way to disable Orthus event, and let us test to see if we dont get OOS anymore?
 
i dont understand this. The same game. I kill a barbarain with the axe and the oss error dont came. :(

I try to take a barbarian City. I think the error has something with the barbarain to do.
 
OoS error on the same turn that the Elohim were destroyed, as soon as the popup appeared. First sign of the Barbarians destroying/capturing a city.
 
units going barbarian often causes OOS (and lots of civs units seem to go barbarian)

playing with 0.25e last night we got barely any OOS last night when playing a game as 2 hippus(humans) against 2 grigori(AIs) with barbarians in the game, the no special damage types definitely helped.

we did get OOS fairly consistently when attacking non-hero warriors/axemen/archers/hunters in the actual cities with Horsearchers. nothing obviously strange to point out that could be causing it, maybe weird city bonuses or something to do with horselord promotions movement bonus or withdrawl, or the raider traits commando promotion or firststrikes.
 
its something with killing, i think. When i had killed Orthos the oos came. When i took a barbarian city, it came sometimes.

Its really not easy to finde this error. Could it be not only one error?
 
more multiplayer games, more OOS

with all the Debug options checked, still getting OOS, tho sometimes seems like its happening less

sometimes getting them on first turn or second turn for no seeming reason

combats involving first strikes seem to go OOS somewhat often, particularly when cities are involved

getting OOS also at times when theres no way there was a combat, on the AIs turn, so maybe some AI decision making is causing some OOS
 
Lets turn on sync logging and see if it tells us anything. In your CivilizationIV.ini file (for BtS) try setting the following:

; Enable synchronization logging
SynchLog = 1
 
im not seeing a log of syncs..

we're definitely getting OOS still during combats occasionally

also, theres something the AI does on its turn that causes OOS that definitely has nothing to do with combat (cassiel did something, so it could be something related to adaptive)
 
I found it in my "_Civ4Config" in the BtS folder. When you open up the file it should be under the [Debug] title, tab type thing.
 
It should be in your ..\My Documents\My Games\Beyond the Sword\Logs\ folder.
 
Sureshot you may also want to wipe your FfH games on all the comptuers and reinstall the base and the patch to make sure they have the exact same files.
 
um.. what do you mean?

Im not sure that the various patches arent one of the things that are causing problems. In order to rule that out of the equation it would be better if you deledted the "Fall from Heaven 2 025" directory from all the computers you are doing multiplayer testing on, then reinstall FallFromHeaven2025.exe and FfH2025f.exe.
