FfH2 0.31 Cosmetic Issues

Please use this thread to post about cosmetic issues in 0.31.
 
The following are minor typos:
  • Event_Mystic_Tree_1: It should say "Move it to the City's Courtyard" not "to the Cities courtyard"
  • Event_Mystic_Tree_2: It should say "Hire some Priests to calm those spirits" not "Hire some Spirits to calm those spirits"
  • Event_Mystic_Tree_4: It should say "This defies the natural order, a tree should only be alight while burning." not "This defiles the natural order, a tree should only be alight while bruning."
  • Event_Switch_Civs_2: It should say "I will lead your pathetic nation" not "I will lead your pathedic nation"
  • Txt_Key_Improvement_Graveyard_Pedia is mislabeled as a second Txt_Key_Improvement_Graveyard, and ressurection should be spelt resurrection (one S)
  • In the incredibly hilarious ending of the Kidnap Pedia entry, "That hardly seems that an appropriate response." should instead read "That hardly seems like an appropriate response."
  • While it is nice that the Pedia entry for Meteor Swarm was retained for Fireball, could it be re-written not to specifically state that there were three and that they are Meteors? Just say a multitude and fireballs and the whole pedia entry still works nicely.
  • Lucian_Pedia probably ought to be slightly re-worded to make it read better: "The secret of a forced march, promise the men paradise at the other end. For the Doviello that is a feast." changed to "The demand of a forced march, promising the men a feast at the other end. For the Doviello that is paradise."
  • Barbarian_Assault_Intro should read "into a mix of orcs, goblins and other savage humanoids" instead of "into a savage mix of orcs, goblins and other savage humanoids"
  • Return_of_Winter_Capria_Defeated should read "as you light the building" not "as you lite the building"
  • Return_of_Winter_Cassiel_Defeated should read "Except for the defenders, the Grigori capital is abandoned." not "Outside of the defenders the Grigori capital is abandoned."
  • Return_of_Winter_Cardith_Defeated should read "their vaults show the benefit of their acumen" not "their vaults show the benefit of their accum"
  • Return_of_Winter_Einion_Defeated should read "spreading your borders as people rush to join your empire." not "spreading your cities borders as people such to join your empire."
  • Return_of_Winter_Victory should read "You arrive just as an Illian man walks out" not "You arrive just as Illian man walks out"
  • Lord_of_the_Balors_desc: "infernals" probably ought to be capitalized "Infernals" since it is a civilization.

The Following entries are for translation issues
  • Bonus_Mana_Metamagic & _Pedia, 030 had them translated to french & german, but that was removed for 031
  • Conjure Elementals: All of them were changed to Summon Elementals, but the translations are not changed, so would still say summon (not that I know if there is any difference in how that translates....)
  • Spell_Contagion had it's german translation removed since 030
  • Dispel_Magic has had german/french translations removed
  • Scorch_Help probably SHOULD have the french & German translations removed since now they don't mention the conversion of Snow into Tundra like the rest have been changed to do.
  • Summon_Djinn has had the french & German translations removed

And it doesn't matter one whit, but it is a bit odd that you removed the period at the end of quite a few sentences. I guess maybe the game automatically placed them there or something though (but typically the period was NOT removed from French or German entries)
 
I'd noticed a couple, but I'm pretty sure xienwolf caught all of them that I did.

He did forget to mention one mistake that he pointed out in another thread before I even had time to download the mod though: you misspelled my name :p
 
My list is only from what changed between 030 and 031, so there are still plenty more in there from 030 and before probably :) And this list is only from the Text file, so skipped your name since it is in the Units file (and because I find it funny :p)
 
All checked in (except the scenario text, those are just placeholder so Im not to stressed about them).
 
When you finish Way of the Wise, the box that pops up asking if you want to change to Protect the Meek says it gives +1 :) per herbalist and infirmary (it's actually +1 :health: in all cities and +1 :health: per infirmary).

The icon for Summon Djinn is still an earth elemental :p
 
Elf/Dwarf/Orc slaves can all upgrade to a Lunatic. I haven't tested to be certain, but this does sound like changing your race through upgrade, which I hear is undesireable for the team.

@Thomas: You'll just have to wait to see all the text :p. It kinda spoiled things since it reveals a LOT about what the Scenarios will be. But only the one set of scenarios had text laid out anyway ;)
 
Posted in the 0.30 thread, but not yet fixed afaik.
1: The Fire Elemental and Tar Demon do not appear in their civilopedia entries, there's just blank space there
2: The Calabim Brujah does not use vampire speech, instead it talks the same as regular Calabim units.
3: The 'dragonbreathein' sound effect on Abashi and Eurabatres is looped, causing them to not stop roaring whenever on screen.
4: The Ljosalfar champion's mace vanishes when it does its 'put down its mace & pick it up again' animation.

Could have been just me, but I just started up a game as the Khazad, and I saw a) a wild Elephant that had art as if it were a ridden elephant and b) a Skeleton that just looked like a swordsman.
