FfH2 BtS Conversion Beta

After playing a few turns w/ "j" I noticed the following:
-When you mouse over normal mana is says "Research:Never, Re..."
-7 techs have there icons overlapping the edge of the boxes in the tech screen.
(They are all by only one-half of an icon, so...)
-The year number is messed up.
-The Armageddon counter appears in global view.
-The religious icons above the city bars are the default civ ones (RoK shows the Hinduism icon) The advisor screen shows the correct ones.
-You can't see over hills with sentry towers (feature?).

Suggestions:
-When it comes time to add the stuff like FfH history, you should put it in its own section called "FfH Concepts".
-You could use the "ping" animation for spells like tsunami.
 
Using patch "i" playing the Kuriotates civilization or playing unrestricted with the leader with another civilization, sprawling is not working for culture or for working the 3rd plot. I forgot to test if the Settlement/Hub or caps on cities were working.

Starting with turn# 197 I get the following every turn:

Using Patch 'J' I noticed that converting to OO changes evil Civs to Neutral.
EDIT: Another thing playing as Calabim: I can't upgrade my Adepts to Mages or Conjurers. I don't know if that is a general problem or only a Calabim thing.
 
Just a post saying I'm downloading the mod and the patch "j" now, and I'll be sure to tell you guys of any errors or oversights I come across.

Great work on the mod so far, all of you! :)
 
I remember being able to upgrade my adepts to conjurers with a previous patch. I was playing Elohim.

Yes, I had some Mages and Conurers in previous versions, too.
Thats why I thought it might be a Calabim only problem.
I've played until "Strength of Will" now, and am still not able to upgrade my Magic Casters in any way.
 
Aside from the plot counting python exception, I got other things not working :

- Heroic Strength not available for Grigori heroes (didn't try other heroes)
- I killed Orthus with my hunter hero, and I didn't get his axe (no message that Orthus' Axe changed hands either)
- I didn't have any forge but my units still got bronze weapons, I seem to remember it wasn't the case for 2.023. Also, units in town still won't receive weapons, they have to leave then re-enter the city.

I'll try a caster hero to see if I got the same issue ...

I got the same error opening the victory xcreen. Furthermore :

- Gorillas can't make Gorilla Cages
- The Grand Menagerie gives a free Tower of Alteration in each city :lol:
- No graphics in tooltip for Mana provided by Grigori Palace
- Grigori palace also removes the "Defensive" promotion, feature ?
- Small Towers buildable when I have only 1 mana type (didn't research Necromancy yet)
- City Hub appears in construction list (greyed out, but it's still there).

Waiting for my next adventurer so I can test caster hero ^^

for the spider : you have the sentry tower in your culture that is in range of the spider... that may be why
 
Could be, but the tower is empty... it is in my territory though, dunno.

Anyway, started another game as cassiel. Got the same python error (which btw pops up every turn since it first appears). Beside the error, the game is pretty playable.

The traits: keeps popping up every few turns; displays traits from bts (charismatic etc), dunno if it's supposed to do that

Eekhoorn, the Barrow not being destroyed is a feature I think. You can pillage it and destroy it that way. I think that was put in on purpose. Same goes for the Ruins.

Some minor things I've come across yesterday:

- After installing FfH BTS beta, I got a pop-up in my main menu: "You have selected an invalid voice capture device". I had to ckick the OK button several times for the dialog box to go away. The error went away after a while though, and didn't show up anymore.

- A very minor thing: Perpentach's greeting and indeed all his text still have the <tab> tags visible. They didn't show up in the old version.

To make Ruins/Barrows disappear, you need to pillage them. I don't know if it's intended or not, though.

Do you have and use a voice capture device? If not open the BtS ini file and make sure EnableVoice is set to 0.
