FfH2 BtS Conversion Beta

That's the reason I put the fantasy in parentheses :D - I just didn't have any concrete idea what could be done. Although I see now that e.g. the spell system can be used for every special ability any unit could have - that could get interesting...

Yeap, I added iCost to the spell system to so you can give spell a gold cost. So it could be used for something as simple as allowing you to spend money to add promotions to units (an equipment or unit builder system) just by putting an "icost", "add promotion" and "caster only" in the spell definition in XML.
 
Without reading 7 pages...is this from the game or my video card? I'm playing as Doviello and my Beastmen are Axemen until I move them at which point they have Beastmen graphics. When idle they look like Axemen. I recall something like this early on with AoI.

Game continued as normal after that, but did get the message again about 10 turns later.

Also my intuition is telling me that the immortal, perpetually capturable, animals bug is lurking in the code used to keep them alive when Barbarians enter the world.
 
I have experienced the same video anamoly while testing the BTS Conversion. I have assumed that it is simply because of where things are currently at in the update.

I wish to thank all of you for the hard work in what I consider the best fantasy civ based game of all time, even beating out an old favorite of mine, Masters of Magic.

I look forward to seeing this project develop further. Good work, all of you.

Its probably because you have freeze animations on, that isnt supported in FfH2.

Yeah, for some reason BtS has dropped me to default to the lowest graphical setting whereas CivIV Vanilla didn't.

I have been playing Ljosalfar for almost 300 turns as well. I built Adepts, Priests of Leaves, Conjurers, and Mages. Tried all available spells specially my favorite Bloom for planting forests. All spells I tried are working without problems. One thing Dancing Blades spell. In a previous build when casted the affected units will keep the promotion. Now the promotion disappears on next turn. Is it intended to be so?

Yes, it has a 100% expire chance.
 
I've been playing FfH with frozen animations for the longest time now, never had any problems.

Feast isn't working: look at the screenshot, in Adonias there's a Vampire but the option is inactive.



I can't find a way to move animals in cities for Carnivals too, they don't enter national borders (and I can't dispel hidden nationality). :)
 
Probably, I havent converted that system yet. I assume I will keep it as is so the file will work.

I was wondering if I should try and win my current v.23 game and hopefully get a trophy or just drop it and help with the beta.

Earn the trophy and then if it doesn't show up later just edit it back in. You know you've earnt it so its not cheating.

Perhaps everybody else had these problems. But they're most probably "inteded" or better: The desired functionality is not yet implemented.
For now we should just report crashes (see first post of the thread).

Yes, thats exactly correct. This is not a functional version of FfH2. I only want to know about crashes and errors.

I apologize, when I took part in other beta testing I report back also the bugs. However I never had a crash... :p
