FfH2 BtS Conversion Beta

New version in the first post. Just a large collection on attributes and features checked in.
 
Getting better everyday. Hopefully getting closer as well. How far is it in your estimation Kael? I am sure you have a list, a schedule, or something.

Nothing specific, not like 54% or something. I will say that the 2 big hurdles were converting XML and rewriting the spell system. With both of those done its just a matter of cutting attributes over.

The next version will probably be the first really playable draft. Not to say there won't be little things still missing. But I'll be ready to start accepting responces for more than just crashes.
 
Awsome, Can't wait to try it, Last patch had no Crashes for me hence I'm late in Posting, lol Was waiting to see A path that had Something MEATY lol Figured I'd take a Momment to thank you guys for Sharring this and Updating it for BtS.. GREAT work
 
As a matter of curiosity, why is the file on your PC called Civ4BeyondSword_WARLORDS.exe?

Also, why does Faeryl Viconia have no traits?

Im not using the same verison of BtS as you are, which is why my exe is different (Im using one from firaxis that lets you play BtS with the Warlords cd since I was a beta tester and there was no such thing as a BtS cd).

Faeryl has no traits because I dont think we are going to have a hidden trait (instead the things hidden was going to do, ie: hiding your empire, will be a mana effect based on how much shadow mana you control).

I had a CtD in the last version, but after reload it didn't happen again, so I suppose it was something with my PC.

Just installed the new version and have a Question:
I've been happy to see the monsterlairs having found their way to the new version. But is it intended, that you have to destroy them, by placing a Combatunit upon it and then hit the "Pillage" button? 'Cos in the 0.23 Version I just had to move a unit over it.

Adaptive Raiders would be nice.. Arcane is too limited in use to be a constant trait, but would be a good first choice for the Adaptive, but letting you switch it to something more useful for the bulk of the game would work.

Raiders is nice for Svartalfar because the promotion is applied to Recon.
 
Well, it depends on what other features the Svartalfar get, I guess. If they end up being able to build in forests, and they don't have any other big disadvantages, giving Faeryl Adaptive/Arcane might be a decent balancing measure... After all, it'd still allow Financial elven cottages... :twitch:
 
Hey there, longtime fan, first time poster...
I downloaded 2.24 and thought I'd aid the cause. I know we are only supposed to post CTD issues, but this is funny and definatly a game ending bug. My first game shortly after founding Runes of Kilmorph the red dragon spawns... seems he's not inclined to stay in his base anymore.:lol:

Given the difference between the Seelie and Unseelie courts I think that she should be arcane, but not until arcane is improved (by giving mobility 1 to arcane units and/or production bonuses for arcane building/wonders, and/or anything else you think of)

Fair enough, but her first trait was removed too.
 
Just getting around to trying C. Not getting a simple or detailed city screen with patch C.

Deleted and reinstalled with patch C with same effect. Retried with patch B works fine(as does normal BtS).

No custom assets/other mods, cleared local cache.
 
Thanks sureshot, I got it fixed.

I am unable to reproduce this.
 
CXDamian, try turning on python error messages. Change HidePythonExceptions to 0 in your CivilizationIV.ini.

(My Documents\My Games\Beyond the Sword\CivilizationIV.ini)

Above is an infinite loop after city selection(since I can't escape the city screen during the exception notice)


I realize this still may not help much Kael, anything I can do on this end to try and track it down? I'll play with settings in the meantime, maybe something will pop up.

Edit: noticing warlords references in the Log Files, I'm assuming that's internal references in BtS? Warlords is not installed.
