Weird, they look fine for me.

Turn frozen animations off.

Mind you, those so-called "art creators" who don't bother with frozen animations models for us lowly hoi polloi without super computers should be ashamed.

When a unit is casting Inquisition the message displayed in the unit's on-mouseover description is "TXT_KEY_UNIT_HELP_DELAYED_CASTING", instead of indicating that the unit cannot move and indicating for how long.

Please please please use the graphics that show forests on elven farm and cottage tiles a la other mods.

Adepts have a TXT_KEY_something problem when they have combat promotions.

The opositions Preists of Leaves have a TXT_KEY error in the mouseover.

Patch H changed the way unit strengths are displayed (for the better, imo). Now the unit's current strength is displayed, followed by base strength and typed strength. For example, a Warrior with Bronze Weapons, Orthus' Axe, and Heroic Strength I is displayed like this:

Warrior, 6/5(5/4, +1 Fire):strength:

While the format is improved, it can be difficult to read since the numbers are all so close together. I suggest adding a space after the current strength number. Also, the comma between the base strength and typed strength is unnecessary. The " +" is adequate separation, so the comma just takes up extra room. With those changes, the Warrior I described would be displayed like this:

Warrior, 6/5 (5/4 +1 Fire):strength:

This is better, but the numbers still run together a little. Most of the time that I'm looking at a unit it's because I want to check its current strength, so it would be helpful if this information were visually "forward". This could be accomplished by changing the strength breakdown to be gray instead of white. The current strength would then "pop out" while the breakdown "fades back", but still remains available for those times when the user needs that information. The result would be like this:

Warrior, 6/5 (5/4 +1 Fire):strength:

There are some places in the Text file, including some Events and Event Triggers, that still refer to Dimensional Mana. Would probably help if they were removed, particularly with reference to Events.

These are the references that I found:

TXT_KEY_BUILD_MANA_DIMENSIONAL -- the whole text should be deleted, since Dimensional Mana has been removed and thus the Nodes can no longer be built.

Under TXT_KEY_CONCEPT_FALL_FROM_HEAVEN_HISTORY_PEDIA, maybe 2/3(?) of the way down, there's a bullet point that reads "Dimensional - Os-Gabella." Don't know what the current lore is, but this should be revised.

TXT_KEY_EVENT_FLARE_DIMENSIONAL_NODE -- the whole text should be deleted, for the reason stated above.

TXT_KEY_EVENTTRIGGER_FLARE_DIMENSIONAL_NODE -- ditto.

Under TXT_KEY_MESSAGE_TELEPORT, it says "Your unit has been pulled through a dimensional flare." Presumably refers to the now non-existent Event where a dimensional node flares, so should be deleted.

TXT_KEY_PROMOTION_DIMENSIONAL1 -- this text is no longer needed.

Dimensional, Creation, and Force mana still exist in the lore (just not the game), so the history text should stay as-is. There really isn't any harm in having unused text entries either.

Fair enough on the lore/history, but as for the rest, my thinking was that with the mod in feature-lock it makes sense to clean up the text. While there may be no harm, there's also no need for text entries that refer to things that don't exist.

I agree with your implicit point, though, that there are other priorities in the text file, including several incomplete 'pedia entries. A few of us have pointed these out and made some suggestions, so we can hope that those will get fixed soon.

patch j.

Adepts, Mages and Archmages have TXT_KEY_PROMOTION_SUMMON_PERK_HEADER in their mouseovers. Add Paladins to this group. I assume there are more.

When a unit casts Inquisition, TXT_KEY_UNIT_HELP_DELAYED_CASTING appears in it's mouseover until the unwanted religion(s) are purged.

One of the tip screens mentions a number of units. All of them except assassins and berserkers are capitalized. I suggest that they also be capitalized.

It it possible for the Lizardman Slave to look like a lizard rather than a man?

Finally, can the Parrot be labeled a Parrot rather than a Hawk?

Whu can't the Hawk be called "Bird"?

patch j.

Hemah has a TXT_KEY error that only appeared once. Sorry, I can't remember the rest.

The error I mentioned above for the Work Boat is TXT_KEY_TERRAIN_OCEAN. It appears when the unit is in port.

In the Sid's Tip mouseover for the Forge, there is a [/LINK] in the middle of the paragraph. I noticed this in The Momus scenario in case that makes a difference.

The shadow graphics still suck. If I may suggest: chanters but colored dark black like shadow riders and nightwatch... would make awesome shadows. I can easily do the graphics myself, (I think) if I know it will get in the next patch. Another suggestion would be 128, 128, 128 gray with an 50% alpha chanters.

As it is now, I loathe to build shadows, because the graphics are so bleh.

The shadow graphics still suck.

Yeah. Even the classic BTS spy graphics are better for it then the modest Great Engineer-in-black guy we have now.
