Maybe we could give it a little push?

Just noticed Calchet and you have the same traits. It's not a problem or anything, just weird.

note that all the bonuses are symptomatic of the civ, not the leader. pretty much all the hippus horsemen units have +1 movement, should they get 1 less trait? if lanun didnt have the seafaring tech theyd be very plain except for their palace, the tech is just an easier way to field a lot of their changes (note: the +1 food from water and -1 food from farms used to be in it, but theyve found better ways to apply it), many of them could just be added to the units (by making all lanun boats custom UUs that have +1 movement over normal ones, like what was done for hippus, and make a special Lanun Worker UU that can build pirates coves), the only thing that i think needs to go in the tech is revealing pearls, which as a tech is pretty crappy since its a dead end and costs them ancient chants, which id rather have since you can found religions sooner, or exploration so they could actually work sea tiles sooner (lanun start the game not even being able to work sea tiles, and thats where all their bonuses are; and they have to research exploration then fishing.. and exploration/roadbuilding is useless if you want to focus on oceans).

no one is picking agnostic because theyre afraid of it.. though someone should if they typically arent the one to found religions, since then theyre really losing nothing.

about sprawling, i wouldnt consider it a good trait, its more of a good and bad trait. 2 or 3 big cities at the cost of no more good cities is a tradeoff. i personally dont like having too many cities since i dont like macromanaging and i dont like micromanaging tons of cities, so it works for me, plus i never really played it because i usually stick to female leaders, and none of them have it.
 
Can I take 6 traits with 2 negative? ^^

Also, Barbarian is now considered neutral and can be taken by anyone.
As for sprawling, I'd consider allowing it to be evened out with Scorched Earth, like half positive and the other half negative.
 
i dont know what the cap is.. but if we do allowing two traits and considering barb neutral then everyone will end up with:
barb/sco/agn and 4 other traits... 7 traits each is messed up

i dont agree that barb is neutral, never seen that said (and id consider sprawling neutral by the logick of barb being neutral), but regardless, for our purposes a neutral is same as a good.
 
I'd never take barb myself, no XP is counter to my raider, no barb invasions is a counter to my def and of course the -10% research, is well, a counter to anything good.
 
ya, but imagine barb/sprawling/financial/creative <-- accidently put sco before, but creative is what i meant

you could just focus on improvements and becomes insanely powerful early on without any worries, then out tech everyone and just kill them with higher tier units

throw on sco and you could do sco/barb/spr/fin/cre/phi and youd be a tech machine

my grammar is so messed today lol, i dont want to bother fixing it :p

if we can get one more id be up for it, just played a team game so im more in the mood for a FFA, but 1v1 isnt a FFA lol

patch I is out so everyone needs to get that now

lol i only now realized that i picked the same traits as Calchet lol.. i just picked Hannahs normal traits and added sprawling and scorched heh
 
Yea, I'm not too happy with Calchet's leader myself. Even though he picked before, he has your traits and Grey Fox's Calabim ^^
 
personally i think we're all gonna be uber, elves with financial will rock pretty damn nicely i think, though elves with fin/cre/spr/sco would be a fun time (they would be able to make ridiculously huge cities with their forest health and happyness benefits)
