I'm about to enter Zanarkand and then I have free reign with the airship. I read some messages over at www.gamefaqs.com and I am now afraid of going for the ultimate weapons. I DO have a second controller but I may as well not break the first eh? Man oh man... From reading people's posts on the chocobo racing, I may not even try it. I mean, I tried it twice when I first got there thinking I'd do it later, maybe not...

The minigames are definitely crap. TF, there is a map to be found on gamefaqs of the butterfly screens showing the path and locations of blue and reds, but I don't know how helpful it would be...

VC, did you not see the part where Shinra was killing the planet by extracting the materia? Or the fact that they created Sephiroth?

And here is a good reason for keeping the huge materia - Bahumut-Zero ;)

I said the only thing there guilty of was employing a crazy scientist, HE made sephiroth. and as to killing the planet I have seen no proof that they actually were trying to kill the planet besides everything nowadays kills the planet. what would you call some people that started destroying nuke power plants cause they said it Kills the planet? they would be Terrorists plain and simple. Shirna Inc. was trying to provide power to cities and run a buisness, they were drivin to there more extreme acts due to Terrorists actions and the fact that they also had to play the role of the government.
I don't think Bahumut-Zero is a good reason cause if they truly WERE trying to save the planet they would let Shirna inc. actually try there plan to save the world. who knows with all three of them It might of worked, it had every chance of working from FF reasoning.
but what I was trying to say was the bad guys were human and made human errors, thats what I like about that game.
It fits with my filosofy ;) that There is no right or wrong only difference of opinion

That Chocobo Race is at Calm Lands. You need to beat the Chocobo teacher there with a 00:00:00 time in order to get the crest item needed to activate Tidus's Ultimate Weapon. On a FF forum, someone said he spent 8 hours racing chocobos in one sitting and finally got that item.
Ah, that one. I tried that one a few times only..... Of course, it didn't work...

Have you tried evade ligting at Thunder Plains 200 times in a row (w/o saving)? You need that to get the crest to activate Kimalri's Ultimate Weapon. :crazyeye:
Bah, couldn't even walk a few seconds w/o getting hit.

Square really knows how to annoy people.
We wouldn't place so much value on it if these weopans are easy to get now, don't we?

Maybe I'm not cut out to play FFX. Don't have that kind of patience.... :)

I have entered Zanarkand but hadn't completed my fight with Yunalesca yet. No airship. You're sure?

Bah, you shld it do it my way - the dumb way. No FAQs at all while playing..... Yeah, my first mth newbieness. :)

You can skip on them. Which is a good thing.

BTW, I find the 'special' creatures in that acadamy or what where you can capture creatures for the academy master to be impossible. :crazyeye:

Oh I been on the airship but I did not have control to go wherever in the world I wanted... As for the Arena, yah, I have bribed some in there, but I haven't beaten anything in the "creations" yet... I tried a Don Tonberry. I don't know how many hit points it has, but after using lots of magic and 60+ phoenix downs, I reset. :D But I'll kick his butt later. Yah.

Oh.... that airship. Al-Bhed? I've been on that one too. One thing about FFX is the cutscenes are really good. :)

Those Arena 'specials' are really tough. :D

 KD! Go and beat Yunalesca! That's when you get the airship and go WHEREEVER you want! I just don't know where to go now. :( :p

I'll... try... one of these days. :D However my PS2 is not with me in S'pore (here I got my PC ;)), so my PS2 time is limited to when I go home to M'sia. Right now though, probably spending more time with RTK7. :)

RTK is a very complex game. I think Civ 3 should be that way. :) I love FFVII, but I think FFIV is the best FF. If you consider all of the "icons" in FF and the general style of the world, FFIV has more than any other FF. The recent FF games have been very heavy on technology, except for 9. Although FF has always been a mix of modern technology, magic, and swords, I think it's leaning too far to the future now.

FFVII could be an influence there, but it is still one of the best FFs.

I've only played FF7 and later. FF7 was my favorite by far, for the side games, fun, and storyline. I've played it through several times, and never got bored. FF8 was pretty cool (at least I finished it), but I got bored half way through FF9 and never finished. FFX just annoyed me, which is a drag because I was really waiting for it. The graphics are awesome, but the story is a little weak, and I hate the new linear style.

i will put my money on Cloud n' Vincent

Damn right. I think Cloud by himself could do it. Vincent can stay in his coffin.

I always wondered how Cloud could carry such a massive sword and stay so skinny. It must weigh 100lbs and he swings it like it's plastic.
