Final Fantasy Mod Progress Updates, Part II

I know it's not the final version of the tech icons but i just think it's funny:D .
White magic has a toilet for a tech icon :lol: :lol: :lol:
 
Yeah, I know about the Icons... I've been searching the internet for appropriate icons, and managed to get some for White Magic and Advanced Flight.

Speaking of which, here are some tech Icons I need... You don't have to do anything but find a picture that would work and is at least 128x128 in size, and I'll do all the conversion work:

Machina Warfare (Probably some tank or other military vehicle from FF VII, VIII or X)
Internal Combustion Engines (a picture of an Internal Combustion Engine)


ALso, once I get some good pics of a Gelnika Cargo Airship, I'm gonna start making one (since this will be an air transport unit, all I'll have to do is make a total of maybe four animations for it).

Here's a preview of the new tech Icons I've got so far....

YES!! That's Perfect! Now all I have to do is re-size it and convert it to a Civ III compatible format...

BTW, anyone interested in me publicly releasing these so that they can be used in other mods?
 
By the way, I have not been looking at all the posts, cause there are so many pages to this thread.

Are you going to use the regular Goverment Types or are you going to costumize them, so that they would fit for this mod? (mainly names and such.)
 
Well, here's the final list of governments (because pretty much all were in the games in one form or other)

Despotism & Anarchy are the same
Tribal Council: Same as Despotism, but without tile penalties, and available early in game... it only has one tech as a prereq, so that you don't have to suffer under the lousy effects of despotism through the whole ancient age.
Republic and Monarchy are the same.
Moved Democracy to the Industrial era and made it so that it had the same unit support as republic, gave it communal corruption, reduced war weariness and a govt specific SW that acts as a second FP and produces a no-cost defensive unit every 5 turns.
Fascism was changed to Coroprate Republic and made to be more like Shinra Corp was in FF VII, and has a govt specifi SW called the SHinra BLDG, that produces a Turk (offensive HN stealth attack) unit every 5 turns.
Communism is the same except for the fact that the Secret Police HQ produces a Turk every 5 turns.
 
I am not sure if you already got this but anyway... This is one of those orange dwarven tanks from Final Fantasy II (Or IV), called the Giott GI-171.

Actually, I ended up using the Firaxis "Armored Tactics" icon, since the tank in that one looks more like the generic tank that's available to everyone.

However, thanks for the Info... I didn't Know quite what the FF IV tanks looked like or were called, so I used Muffins' Ork Looted Baneblade and called it a Main Battle Tank... I'm keeping the graphics, because they look more or less like that (only with more guns), and just rename it to the GI-171 MBT
 
Hey Sword, not to nitpick, but could you make sure that you increase the size of the background (or if at 240x240, decrease the size of the dragon) so that the whole thing fits in the block? The reason is that if you don't, in game, it will look chopped off, and it looks awful.

As for the Attack... I could render out the beam from the Attack a of the Iron Clad hovertank and once you finish the basic attack, I could C&P it, since I have much experience with C&P smoke and spell effects for Poser units.

BTW, pending someone else offering a better camo texture, I'll be starting on the animations for the Gelnika.

Its not at 240 currently, I just wanted to see if the model itself was exceptable to you...Thank you HT for offering to finish the attack, I accept..
