"Fire" Developer Diary

* Peace - Allows Corlindale to declare peace between all civs and his owning civ.

How will this react to Basiam always being at war with AV civs?

I <3 The Internets.

Ya know... The president says something that makes him look like an idiot, the internet, in its infanite wisdom of deciding what is funny/cool, then adopts the phrase - which then makes it legitimately cool.

This means that the president invented something cool.

"Internets"

Does anyone else have a substantial problem with this?

I have a problem with it. I don't think it's cool. I think it's just fun to make fun of an idiot. :D

(Congrats, Qes: another Qesified thread ;))

At this point I think I've hijacked a "catagory".

EDIT: It's not genuinely on purpose. People on this forum are just constantly saying interesting things that make me think.

EDIT2: Ok maybe a little bit.

I would like to point out that there are actually internets (not that he knew that) there is the one most people use and there is the www2 used mainly by colleges and research institutions (yes it is a completely seperate network from the www). As I said not that he knew that.:scan:

All I know is that its not a dump truck, but a series of tubes.

Hehe yeah but its that there really are more than one set of tubes.

No. The 18 civ limit is still in place. There is a check that makes sure there is a free slot before hyborem or basium are created, and if their isnt they don't happen (ie: limit yourself to 16 civs in fire).
This may just be because the idea is new, and I'd want to play around more with the new stuff, but I think I'd prefer that if there's no free slot, it forces switching, rather than refusing to introduce Hyborem or Basium.

What I mean is, if there are 18 civs already, and the Infernals would be created, they should get their city, and that player's control (CPU or otherwise) switches to Infernal, and all their old civ stuff either gets destroyed/removed, switches to barbarian control, or switches to Infernal control.

Is there a reason that 18 civs is hardcoded into the game...it seems like an unnecesarry restriction

You may notice the art for a new wonder hidden in a screenie.

You mean the giant "candle" with the snake wrapping itself around it in the Amurite screenshot (page 34)? Can't be that dark pentagon mentioned above because that's just a city improvement (planar gate).
