Sounds like it is time for the LK series to have another 5CC after I get back from my vacation. I start driving in less then 30 mintues.
 
1400 AD (0): Okay I cancel the 25 gpt for iron deal. Not much else to be done there are cavs to move but we are up against tanks and infantry.

INBT: Well that stack of units that did nothing versus tanks before allows us to shed 48 gold in upkeep cost. Lost the whole stack to advancing tanks. We can't survive this war.

1405 AD (1): Sumeria builds the Hoover Dam. I currently estimate about 50 tanks and assorted infantry in our territory. Our entire military is 8 infantry, 1 cannon, and 2 workers and 7 countem 7 cavs. I can't get out of the war for 4 more turns IF we last that long.

1410 AD(2): Zulu and Sumeria make peace. Took no loses but they are coming.

1415 AD (3): With zero offence and zero artillery suppor I draft to try and hold out a few more turns before the real blood bath occurs.

1420 AD (4): Amazingly enough no loses. Sumerians start the UN. Manage to kill a tank and an infantry with no loses.

1425 AD (5): Persepolis is getting bombed. Survival mode. Cancel the MPP with netherlands. Pay 250 gold to the sumerians and get out of the war before we get out of the game. Drop lux to 0 and our gpt is up to 234. Maybe we can steal our way back into it.

1430 AD (6): Not enough gold to steal, not enough units to fight anyone. This is not a good spot but we aren't dead yet. Okay we are almost dead but not in these ten.

1435 AD (7): Cancel our coal for horses deal with the dutch. What good are cavs now. I am looking for trade bait. Possible 2 fer but may go for a steal. Well a steal uses all our gold and is only immediate. Can't afford a war right now so buy sanitation from the Aztecs for coal, 160 gpt and 1200 gold. Well sanitation will get us crap from teh dutch but I will take it and try to get something from the zulu. sanitaion, salt, coal and 30gpt to dutch for Ironclads, yes ironclads. Sanitation and ironclads to zulu for Industrialization. Ironclads and Sanitation to summeria for WM and 1400 in gold.

1440 AD (8): Start a couple hospitals. Not much else.

1445 AD (9): Start the other hopitals. I am not sure how to procede now.

1450 AD (10): Nothing. Okay I sold every thing to gain hospitals and factories and get out of the war. Consquences are that we are still way behind in tech, have no real friends, have no army and our economy is hog tied by the Aztec deal. Other than that things are great. My only recommendation is a possible steal from the Aztecs to "get" our gpt back if they declare and try to hit them hard enough to get something in return. A tough task given all we can build are rifles. :hmm: maybe we are just prolonging the end. Anyway Good luck!
 
I'm a realist. We can't aford to be at peace but at the same time war is impossible. We are far far behind. Sumeria will either win by domination, culture or space. I don't mind playing on and will take my ten if gozpel play his turns. But unless someone has a great idea I can't see us getting out of this mess. Good job getting hospitals though hotrod.

This is just an almighty steam-roller lesson on how the AI works when suited, as Lee said.

It's good to get a whack on the head now and again :)

The daughter grabbed the computer all evening yesterday, so I had to play in the middle of the night. Ah well.

Not much to do here, join a worker into Persepolis. Let the slaves improve some tiles. Have one native worker left to join a city when we have hospitals.

1460AD - ROP is renewed with Aztecs, we pay 60g :)

1465AD - Connected a coalsource.

Sumeria took an Aztec town Teotihuacan with iron and keep it, I had my eyes on it so we could continue railing. If anyone raze it I will build a colony.

1470AD - Persepolis, Pasgadae and Bactra builds hospitals.

1475AD - Arbela hospital. I put all cities on wealth btw after hospitals.

The Sumerian lawnmower take an Aztec city per turn. They have tonnes of tanks and bombers, a couple more rifles won't help us.

1480AD - We lose 2 luxes from Aztecs and 4 cities riots, 10% luxtax.

1485AD - We have wines again, by a colony. Sumeria razed Tenotichlan.
We also have horses inside our borders now, so I announce the Grand opening of a racetrack.

1490AD - We have 2103 gold and I happen to check what a careful steal cost. Exactly 2103g and I believe in omens. Succeed stealing RP from Aztecs. Of course we don't have any rubber.

1495AD - Gordium got its hospital.

Sumeria has got 66k culture, but own 54% of land, which will probably be the victory. As soon as they start to expand borders it's over.
They are running over the aztecs and nothing can stop them.

I let Aggie have the honor to let Sumeria finish this. Give them ROP or something to make it quicker and less painful :)
 
I played 17 turns. I don't if you want the preloss save, doesn't look too interesting to me... We are the only survivers of the Sumerian rampage.

OUCH, but not expected. I can't belive how fast Sumeria went through the Aztecs and Dutch.

I was a bit shocked to see how intelligently the AI used its units. Paired infantries/arties whacked the Aztecs from distance and then came the tanks, hordes of them :) Sumeria also used bombers wisely and struck Monty's stacks in to crumbles, before sending in the land-units.
