Flags!

I love this flag I created, so I'd though I'd share it. It's fairly simple, but I love the color combination (green and gold). The script is Sarati, one of Tolkien's Elvish scripts intended to be written vertically.

I like that one Cuiv. Your right, the gold and green combination is really pleasing to the eye. Just wondering, is the hoist supposed to be on the right side (like flags with Arabic, Hebrew etc.) or is the text supposed to be in fly?

Inspired by Cuivenen's awesome green-gold Tolkien flag, here is a flag for the Athenian Confederation. The only thing to specify is that the head in profile is Athena, patron of Athens.

It's intended to fly (the hoist in on the left). I think it would look more interesting with the words flapping in the wind.

@Israelite: Can you make a Dardanian flag? I'm not too much good with graphics. :(

The below image is my intended flag for La Plata in das's NES. However, I can't seem to make a decent sunburst on the flag. Could someone add a golden sunburst to the center? (It should be small enough to fit within the pale blue stripe.)

Dark red represents the Andes Mountains, light blue, Rio de la Plata, and green, Las Pampas.

I made a funny little flag, based on the Owl...

Actually, this is an immediate ripoff from the actual Federated Malay States flag.

The four colours are the colours which adorn the state flags of the said Federated states - and the usual interpretation is: -

Yellow - Royal colour, sovereignity
Red - Blood of those who fought to defend the nation
White - Purity of body and soul (or in the case of Pahang & Terengganu, symbolise the ruler)
Black - symbolises the rakyat: i.e. the people.

Don't ask me.

I guess it's because it symbolises bravery and all that jazz? Hell, it's everywhere in martial symbols of the Malay states.

Something which will be showing up in das' NES soon. Relatively simple.

Thank you, I didn't know that, it's fun to learn new things. It is a very nice one, simple with just enough detail.

@Captain- Complicated bit? Do what I do, make a flag then strip it of everything unesential. "Perfection is not when you have nothing left to add, but when you have nothing left to take away."
