Flags!

Decided to clean up the canton of the Vinlandic flag for Capto Iugulum, so that it doesn't seem blurrier than the rest of the crisp flag. After doing this, I decided to mess with the canton some more.

I can hear LoE drooling already, but I didn't feel terribly fond of this design, so I decided to take influence from Circuit's work on the Mississippi Proletarist Republic, Lord of Elves' Workers' Commonwealth of Scandinavia (and Quisani's update of the same) to design a potential alternate flag for Vinland were that nation to take a dramatic turn to the political left. Here's the finished product:

Well, I decided to mess around with the Gwenn Ha Du(Brittany's Flag) going for a Fascist version just because,

Looks properly fascist, assuming we intend to follow OTL fascist design cues, although the lightning bolts could stand some anti-aliasing to make them look less pixel-y.

I wouldn't really characterize traditional proletarism as the political left, its leftism going only so far as its commitment to the democratization of labor. Proletarism =/= OTL communism, but to make this post legal, I decided to put the red back in the Fatherland Tricolor (thanks again, Quisani!) to get even a little variety out of the omnipresent blue and gold.

I remember in my old computer somewhere I had a Red/Blue/White striped flag, 3 stripes, with 13 stars in the middle around an eagle. YEAH

Considering that the Second Union's entire legitimacy stems from the fact that they claim to be the legal successor of the old union, I guess it makes sense that they'd adopt their symbolism.

Still, it'd look cool with more eagles. Everybody loves eagles.

And yeah, the same flag as the first Union makes sense - but eagles makes everything better (plus they symbolize freedom, right?)!

The stars are for the states. Were there 50 states in the first union? It would have actually started as a 10 or 13 star flag.

The design of the flag has been modified 26 times officially, since 1777.

To make the perfect flag for America, simply figure out how many States you want in America, and then grab that flag, not the 50 state one.

The perfect flag would be the stars and stripes, except instead of 50 stars there are 50 swooping eagles in the canton.

Also the stripes are shaped like eagles.
