Let's switch it up a little now... here's some Native American ones

Could be TRUE Mounted Warriors for the Iroquois. We can shift the Civ3 one to the Plains Indians.

Very different sorts of war paint and warrior designs.

This is after alot of direct influence from the Europeans obviously.

Slightly less interference, but they've still got muskets.

Aztecs:

Jaguar Warrior

A rather unique Aztec Warrior

Aztec Warrior Priest... I know exactly where I'd put this in my mod, but there might be trouble finding for it as an official Civ3 replacement.

This sort of outfit could be used for some of the later-era Aztec units like the Musketman, Knight, Cavalry, etc. Sort of lends a bit to the pomp and circumstance outfits of Europe in this time period.

This could make a nice Pikeman I think if we replace the club with a spear.

Another cool possibility.

A rather uncharacteristic-looking Aztec warrior. Maybe for a Spearman?

I doubt they would use any units that were user created. Too much legal hassle, and plus most people out there want "professional" work when they shell out $30.00, not something they can get online. It seems rediculous, but its true. Some people even refuse to play mods because they don't have the official stamp of approval from the publisher and developer. Ignorant sods.

Ok, I'm going back home on Friday to work on my projects... does any of our cut and pasters have any specific ideas on what they'd like this Cut n Paste Pack to include?

Try doing the obvious. The Cossack's head on russian flavor units, Osman's turban on some of the Turkish flavor units, etc. etc.


Specifically, make a Babylonian infantry with the head of their bowman.

No no no... thats not what the Cut n Paste Pack is. I'm not the one doing the cutting and pasting... The Cut n Paste Pack is a bunch of models rendered from Poser that provides lots of raw materials to pull from... there's the basic naked man figure with lots of poses, a tunic with every possible angle needed, a spear, a sword...

but is there anything specific that the good people want? Something maybe they can't take from an existing Civ3 unit?

Just kill me if I am annoying rolleyes: ) but I need a slinger pose. Handgun firing from Sipahi is nearly OK (I am preparing a pirate but shhhtt !).

We need both a slide and sting arm (blade) movement, another archer firing (for later bowmen) and then so many others (but most would probably be used just once, which would make them useless = easier for you to just do the unit).

Otherwise thank you again for starting this pack. It should prove very useful for other people too (I hope)

AFA I am concerned, I would love them to be already on the Flicster format so that conversion to FMX then copy/paste on one file is easy).

Anyway, sure I can do a sling pose. And I can do a sidearm firing pose as well.

Umm... I don't really understand what slide and sting arm movements are... you'll have to explain. So far I've planned a sort of slicing movement and stabbing movement.

And what do you mean another archer firing for later bowmen? do you mean I should include a bow & arrow pose because I already am. Or do you mean a more specific kind of bow & arrow pose for like a specific bow or something?

Well, I don't know, if I am one of the "good people", but there are some things... I copuld need. At first I still need a roman shild with "correct" colours (red or civcoloured with golden/yellow ... aplications(?). It should be oval and in all needed angels of view for an attacking unit. Spearman-shield dosn't fit. Here is a pic.

Yes, I thought of the elite bowmen type with slower movement, longest holding then higher shotting (angle, not horizontal)
Like for Mongol bowmen or Egyptian elite archers....

Hmmm... I'm still rather disappointed by the lack of contributions in terms of Unit Names, concept suggestions, and pics.

I mean, right now, thats really where it all has to come from because the creators are inundated with personal requests and special projects. There won't be much completed stuff to add to the list till November. The good news is that Conquests will catapult the list forward and after its release.

Should we put all pictures and concept we can think about (either real or imaginary (for recent units of ancient civs)) here ?
The thread would become to large to be useful I fear.

I can tell you that if you release your pack in August, I sure will release at least one or two units before Conquests starts shipping.
