I respect the moderate Catholics alot, particularly those in Central and South America who used their religion to fight oppression and exploitation (liberation theology). That, and Boondock Saints was friggin awesome.
I vaguely prefer Catholics, they're somewhat less disparaging to athiests (not that Christians in general are). It's probobly due to the fact that they are more urban (in my area) and thus aren't as subject to the power of group oloraization.
Well, on the whole, probably Catholics because it's mostly the same and it's not really that conservative. My church, on the other hand, (Catholic) is horribly, horribly conservative. I consider myself somewhat to the right, but going to CCD classes there made me feel like a hippie. But that's not the norm and most Catholics are normal.
The thing with Protestants is that you labelled them all as one big group. There are the crazy Southern Baptist "Let's go lynching!" protestants, and there are the crazy Unitarian "Let's go marry trees" protestants . I've seen both and they're nowhere near the same.
catholics becase they are much easier to make fun of. That and protestants seem to believe that their particular sect out of thousands is the correct one with the real "word of god" despite the fact that it was probably founded only within the past 30 years. Of course in reality people from both groups are extremely varied and its unfair to just divide them into 2 groups.
I'm an agnostic, I view Catholics, Protestants, Muslim, Atheists, and whatever else in the same boat. They all think they know everything when they really know nothing.
