First off, my system specs: 2.60 GHz, 720 MB of RAM (I feel like I'm speaking another language), and the best video card I could buy, sorry I can't remember its name or properties or anything. So, I surpass the recommended settings but the game still runs slow. My computer isn't loaded with spywar, I run daily sweeps of both SpySweeper and McAfee, my system must just be low on memory.
Now, on the game. When I loaded it back up after my last update, Inca was at war with India.

Either I asked Huayna Capac to go to war and he did it but I just forgot, or there was tension because of two Indian settlements on an Inca continent. Here were my stats at 1920:
Soldiers: 1,076,000, Rival Average: 625,250 (This is a great little feature IMHO)
Population: 10,601,000, Rival Average: 5,810,000.
Now, a timeline of events following:
1932 - Modern Era entered. The entering era graphics are really dissapointing. When entering the Modern Era, all you see is a black ink on papyrus-looking background image of a digital watch.
1938 - Qin Shi Huang declares war on Asoka, without my intervention.
1954 - Qin Shi Huang makes peace with Asoka.
1955 - Versailles built in Karakorum (under my control now, to remind you). The AI on lower difficulties is really bad at building wonders, they either pass it off to minor cities (as the advisors often to suggest to me) or never get around to building them.
1956 - My invasion force finally arrives at the Indian border. There had been a gradual troop build-up over the last 10 turns, and 4 infantry are still yet to unload and an artillery is on a nearby island in need of a transport. However, my invasion force consists of (counting the 4 inf. and 1 arty):
18 Infantry
6 Artillery
1 Bomber
2 Fighters
1 Carrier
7 Cavarly waiting to upgrade to Gunships once I discover Plastics and can build an Offshore Platform to access Oil.
This force is not enough to take on India alone, maybe I should call up some of the excess garrisons in homeland England. China has been at war with India twice, and neither of them has done any damage. Napoleon has a pretty big empire, but from the "attack" on Mongolia I saw he has few, and on top of that out-of-date, units. Huayna Capac is the weakest nation on earth, I can't even trust him to take on the two Indian cities infringing on his borders. I think I'll hold off the war a couple more turns to get some more Infantry guarding unaccessible cities down to the Chinese-Indian border, and I'll wait for those Cavalry to upgrade to Gunships.
Also, I've notice that the AI (except my surprisingly weak ally Napoleon) upgrades unit frequently. No more taking down 5 mech infantry to find a pikemen guarding the enemy capital.
