I started a lot of the chops as I figured we needed quick production boost for the war, and our health kicks ass in all cities.

n0xie must have continued it. I guess that's one of those things that happens in SGs... different players play in different ways :D
 
I'd be awefully curious to see the F9 demographics. Guess I'll open the save later today and check. If troops aren't #1 I'm going to sh-t myself.
 
Opening the save, we've got a "troops" count of 899,000 with #2 in the mid 500s. I'm guessing that's Nappy.

I agree with Fox about razing the eastern cities (what's with that inland sea? It's salt water.) Then keeping Hun. Of course, vicky's culture will press hard against Hun, so maybe and RNGod-sanctioned Jihad against the English scourge is in order?

One thing I can't understand is the civ count. This world has Us, Formerly Asoka, the Late Caesar, Izzy, Vicky, and Nappy. I remember seeing notification that one civ was killed before we met him (Saladin?). Shouldn't there be another?
 
I thought it put 8 on a standard map unless you f with the settings. Though, I was wrong. 7 is the standard. For those of you not already doing so, please ignore the nincompoop.

After some pillaging, I take the peace terms offered by Izzy.

I want to deny her Military techs for as long as possible so I decline. Plus we’ll need the money to upgrade our mostly Medieval army.

Almost all of the conquered Spanish land is now in English borders. The areas only have a 10% English population at most but it will reduce Hun to size 1 and badly restrict Madrid’s growth if not dealt with.


Turn 4

Since Hun will be starving every turn until we can get enough culture there, I suggest stacking it with artists.

I figure we can have 2 stacks assault the final 3 Spanish cities. I imagine a gaggle of spotty schoolboys could take it at the moment but 2 stacks is quicker than 1.

Also by taking Hun we now control 6 holy shrines! Obviously we need the full set (we have a spare Prophet too!) :lol:

Nappy’s golden age ends.

I also prematurely end my turn without making ANY effort to do the RNGod’s wish. Wonder if that’ll have any effect on the game. :mischief:

I think it will take exactly the same amount of turns as if it was 15% defense. Cats take down the defensive bonus 15% per shot. So if you have 7 cats, then you can reduce it to 0% in 1 turn. Cannons do 20% per turn (5 cannons) and artillery do 25% per turn (4 units). All of this assumes that they don't have the +10% barrage promotion.
