I think you can probably use the old uploader. I had problems with Photobucket before too. There's a javascript error on their new upload page, so I went about uploading by using the old upload form.

There were a few gripes, but since I didn't wrote it down, and have played like 40 hrs ago .... I forgot what my gripes were. So you go away with it, Immy. :trouble:

But I am just not sure why we have a settler.

Anyway, I captured the Taoist holy city, and also got Monotheism. I suggest we made the switch to Taoist and OR. We are running into happy problem throughout.

I also stole Feudalism (having researched Monarchy on our own). Since Pacal is going to die soon, I didn't waste time waiting for 50% discount and simply exhausted most of our EPs on him. I have two spies in England to steal guilds. I have also pushed our defense in the west to Leeds, a better choke point for defense.

Next up, we should probably finish off Maya to get rid of his portion of WW, and try to force our way east to hammer Joao down a bit.

We got an engineer, suggest settling him, but if AP is still available, we may wnat to build it (need Theology first).

Interesting, every time I've used always-war it's forced all the AI's to team up against the human player(s). Is the addition of the always-peace option supposed to make it truely FFA, or was that for another reason?

“Yes, well we are prepared to honour his commitments – but no more” Replied Mr Tight Fist.

“But we have always had such a good relationship with Mr. Fox, and look Titans incorporated has expanded massively with hostile takeovers of HRE Ltd and we’re just finishing our aggressive Merger with Mayan Enterprises. Its bringing lots of new target markets into play.”

“Well on the subject of markets a few developments to raise income would be welcomed by the Bank” Said Mr Tight-Fist with the sort of raised eyebrow only a financier is trained to deliver.

“But we are facing hostile and aggressive incursion from both England Inc and Portugal Megacorp.”

“Well I am afraid in the short term these will have to be addressed with your current resources – Don’t you realise there is a titan credit Crunch going on!!” Shouted Mr Tight-Fist as he slammed the door.

Finances weren’t that bad yet

but with Grenadiers coming soon this set focussed on
  1. Income with the aim of stealing Guilds followed Banking.
  2. Finishing off the Mayans
  3. Take the Barb city with spices and ready made towns to the south
  4. Oxford in our Capital
  5. Get started on forbidden Palace in Mayan land ready for taking some Portugese cities with Grenadiers next set.

We kick off with the switch to Taoism followed by OR to speed up infrastructure. We have only spread Taoism to key places so next player may want to spawn a few more missionaries.

Settled the GE in our Capital as the AP felt like a diversion we could do without although the Wonders list suggests it hasn’t been built which feels strange!!

On the spying front things start out badly with our Spy in Nottingham getting booted out on the IBT. We did steal Guilds alter which prompted a lot of Grocers in our cities which means less troops hvae been produced than normal (light on siege for our next war)

Our Nottingham spy showed he had a severe BO problem by being executed next time so we are a way off from stealing banking.

The Mayan integration went fine.

Toward the end we were facing Cuirassiers . I sacrificed some siege as otherwise we would have lost Titans to this stack but with us having Grenadiers now we should be able to kill them off.

Less Military progress than normal but our economy will improve with Grocers on Line.

Nice turns, great job on stealing Guilds. But we should send out more spies, in preparation of losing at half of them. Since we are in OR, we might as well start some more missionaries so that all those cities still building infrastructure can benefit from it.

:hammer2: I realize now that the AP is not available ... because diplo victory is turned off. :blush:

Should we be pushing towards steel or pushing towards rifling? I noticed that even Toku, the weakest of the surviving Deities, is 2 turns from Rifling.

If we want Steel then our GE will partially bulb it to get us there faster.

Rifling is further away so on balance I think steel first as Grenadiers + cannons will let us push onwards whilst we do the harder yards for Rifling.

Ok, got it....

My peeve with going steel is that the AI loves mounted units ( a stupid thing, given that they don't have the slightest clue of how to use them ). Cuiraseers chew grens and pikes in the open easily ....
