Actually it is a hybrid of someone else's strategy (they used greece and early war while sling-shotting to philosophy) (Standard, Prince. No Space Race, Fractal, Perm Alliances/ Agg.AI)
My theory last game was to get the pyramids at all costs (prince) and to use Facism the whole game. A side thought was to get to Philosophy and found Taoism.
Well, it worked. (not the side thought- i have come to believe if your warring alot , better to just pick up a religion that one of your cities gets converted to and go with it.)
First of all usually the civ converting one of your cities is probably going to be a neighbor-so when u kill them the negative aspects of not founding a religion become less.
Also building that pyuramids makes u fight off barbarians for a good part of the early game and this gives one veteran troops for the march to kill ur neighbor.
I say don't stop either- just keep warring - never let up until the continent is urs- and even then -start ur fleet attacking overseas. Been playing this game alot since it came out but only a few wins on prince- the easiest by far are those when u war, war, war.
