Frustrating javascript popup not on main page!

I am more than happy for this site to support advertising, it is part and parcel of using a free site that you have to put up with ads.

However, I thought we didn't have popup ads outside the main page? If so, can anyone explain this on the patches page:

Thanks TF, if it is policy I am more than happy. Just wanted to check the ads weren''t creeping in where they weren't meant to be.

hehe, I promise not to buy Ghost Recon. Invasive ads always put me off anyway.
