Funny Fall from Heaven Screenshots!

What actually killed you in the second screenshot? (Since the last thing is a warrior defeating a skeleton. Or perhaps I'm reading it in the wrong order and a skeleton defeated your warrior.)

I was attacked by two skeletons, my warrior managed to kill one of them, but got slaughtered by the second.

Poor Flauros, all that huge stack, and it's a sitting duck because Amurite Druids nailed it too the ground.

Though the Calabim are slowly gaining ground, despite the Amurite Druids. But when an AI attacks someone Empyrean, who can use Blinding Light, the results can be pretty bad on that front. Yeah, Blinding Light en masse is totally imba.

And yeah, the Clan is huge.

First shot: This is something I'm sure most of us have seen before, but I usually get a kick out of the loyal hunter or ranger's pets, who continue to scout for their civilization while their old master is dead.

Second: the backstory and gameplay actually sort of line up in this case, kind of neat.

Third: This good thing is boring, how do those wicked folks live? (I also unfortunately missed a shot a few turns earlier where Sheelba asked for the Way of the Wise tech. Seems people were busy exploring alignments that game.)

Calvinna of Junil, despite having a seemingly feminine name, is bald and has a beard. Apparently, these harsh Order guys don't mind a but crossdressing in their ranks...

You can't just assume that all names ending in -a are necessarily feminine, especially when dealing with names that are in fictitious languages. Even in Latin though, there is such a thing as a first declension masculine proper noun.

It is a bigger issue that Talia Gossam, Varn's wife, looks the same in the game. (Of course in the lore she is an unusually voluptuous elven woman with dark hair and a deep tan, who looks more Arab or Hispanic than Nordic like most elves.)

Here's an idea:

In this particular version of the world, the founding order members created strict rules requiring men to serve as prophets, however, the rules quite clearly defined "men" as "bald headed people with beards", thus, in a strict reading of the rules, women can be priests if they shave their heads and wear beards. And, obviously, the the stresses of founding a new religious shrine create a lot of wear and tear on the most gifted prophets. :)

(In the actual game, the prophet did come first, and the religion was researched specifically to use the prophet, so the story would probably be different even from that.)

I know, Nikita is a strictly male name in Russian. ;) It's just that that particular name definitely had a feminine flavour to me.

Hi. I know how to enter flying camera mode, but am not able to find a control that will let me tilt the camera up and down. I'm sure several people here must know. Could you let me in on the secret? Thanks.

Pacifism + Military Strat ... not a bad combo ;)

I'm sure he was torturing evil prisoners with wholesome, spiritual thoughts that seared their demonic minds with the pure goodness of it all.

(Great event, though. )

I dunno how to embed the pic, so it's an attachment instead, but...
