Screenshots from my recent games

1 & 2 advanced barbarians: (1) wheat originated in the arid climate of the fertile crescent, and only now are we developing through genetic engineering varieties of wheat which can withstand tropical climates, (2) and i know some ancient real world civs practiced factory-type production to a limited extent but LMAO can't help laughing at the thought of digging out ancient "scrolls and stone tablets" and finding blueprints for tanks (not to mention the prerequisite techs) :wow:

having seen other screenshots of technologically advanced tribes with knowledge of antigravity and free maps of oceans from astronomically-literate barbarians, allow me to present some theories to explain all this: either barbs are descended from aliens, or they captured and razed atlantis and stole their techs :science::science::borg::science::scan::science:

3 & 4 let me post some more screenshots from my latest game:
(3) That's me on the NE continent, playing as Spain. I had earlier conquered Egypt, which used to occupy the middle of the continent, which happened to contain loads of gold. before that hatty & charlie were friends and were bullying me because they were stronger: hatty had all the gold, charlie is protective and has strong UU, so naturally I sought revenge. now I'm fighting a long war vs. charlie and i've reduced HR to a few poorly defended cities with my conquistadores... a while later justinian and genghis khan joins the war on my side so at first i was very happy because I was expecting some help (which didn't come so I did all the hard work; sacrificed lots of catapults, trebuchets, and some of my most experienced units:sad:) now, look at (3) - just 1 more turn, and the continent is mine! vengeance is sweet - and THEN guess what happens... justinian vassalizes charlie! (4) how rude

^ If #4 had happened to me, I would have sent in so many spies he wouldn't have known what to do with them!

ANNOYING, but not truly a problem. Chances are that Justin just picked up a bunch of negative diplo modifiers from his vassal, and pissed off a bunch of his old friends (like Mongolia). Chances are if you check the diplo, you can safely dow Justin, and can arrange a mighty dogpile on him to keep him busy.

And don't waste GGs on SuperMedics; you're Spain, you want to settle them as MIs and crank out loads of highly-promoted Conqs. Blitz Conqs are your best friends.

Very nice shots and commentary, btw. :goodjob:

thanks for the replies, toll_booth and bestbrian; I already had 4 GG's by that time, two on the field as medics, one of them I used for a military academy, and one just popped up when I took the screenshot. I also had 4 uber-productive cities which were spamming conquistadors every 1-2 turns each: my capital, hatshepsut's capital, heroic epic coastal city, and military academy farms+hills&workshops city.

So I loaded my Byzantine game tonight and a lion magically appeared in my control! Maybe this has happened to others, but this is the first time for me. (Unless this is just a random bug) I have full control of the lion.. Too bad it's not a bear, otherwise it might actually be useful! BTS version 3.19

If you enter WorldBuilder you will start in unit-placement mode with the Lion as the current unit. Clicking will add one owned by you. Dunno if that's what you did, but hitting CTRL + W followed by a LEFT-CLICK would do it.

For that matter, how would they even get in a pikachu?

Oh man you nailed it. I DID accidentally hit CTL-W trying to hit CTL-S to save. I quickly hit it back but I must have clicked accidentally and then saved.. Will this ruin my score in the end? (I remember in the old civs if you entered cheat mode your score wouldn't be recorded..)

He should research the Circus tech. That enables the Lion Tamer unit, and together with the Bozo tech, you can build:

Clowns.
+2 :) with all foreign leaders
+3  from citizens
+1 :crazyeye: from citizens because they can't tell the difference between the Clowns and their own politicians,
+1 movement (A whole bunch of them crammed into those little cars increases the movement rate. More efficient that way.)
