I find imageshack to be a very, very annoying site to have to go to. These days I check links on pictiures and in they're imageshack I don't bother to click.
Here's another one of those games where I was very lucky to have started on the continent with all the gold(large temperate fractal map, monarch difficulty, epic speed). That's me on the blue continent, playing as Roosevelt. My starting position was beside a river and had a few gold plots nearby but after I've conquered Persia, which formerly occupied the western half of the continent I gained the rest of the gold plus some wonderfully cottaged river tiles. I just continued with the gold mining/cottage spamming and ended up with a ridiculous tech lead: founded confucianism, christianity, islam and taoism, circumnavigated the globe, researched liberalism...
Scientific method. 1300AD. We could have entered the Industrial age well before the 1400's! On monarch difficulty!
At the rate at which we're researching techs it almost feels just like I were playing in normal speed! Reminds me of Civ3
p.s. another reason why I posted this here is in relation with a recent post about "baracks..." You know, America DoW-ing and occupying Persia...
No offense, but I've seen claims of people reaching Scientific Method on the higher difficulties much sooner. Also, there's nothing inherently funny about your screenshots; in fact, it seems that the only reason you're even posting them is to brag about how well you're doing.
If you read the last part, they said they were kinda referring to the earlier picture with the "Baracks," because they were playing as America and had occupied Persia. I kinda get it...
