I've made it go pretty far by making it so that no one starts with Mysticism or is a religious fanatic.

Considering the AIs in this game?
Willem van Oranje is an atheïst (in the game, not irl), Alexander is a crazy warmonger, Lincoln is more balanced, and not a zealot, for sure, Qin is protective and will build up an army instead of religion-hunting and Hannibal is a financial leader and will probably be more interested in pottery and currency.
I think this is the perfect set up to leave Polytheïsm unresearched by 1370 BC. Still, it's the first time I've seen that, too.

My version of RFC: DoC seems to be slightly bugged. Diplomacy is a bit confusing, with these announcements.

Try making most mountains a little greyer instead of black. It looks great, though. Did you also alter the rivers?

Make swamp darker or grass lighter, make gold(if that is gold next to the mountain) more of a gold color. Otherwise looks great.

I messed around with the swamp texture for sooo long, and couldnt get a nice finish on it, but agree that they are a bit too close (especially when have trees on).
Its not gold but sulphur ;) (had to double check myself)

hehe, its because I "angled" the screenshot 45 degrees. Its actually the dark side of the mountains, and in normal view they look grey. I had to put mipmaps on the mountains though, otherwise the game would crash when changing texture theme :

The rivers are vanilla.

Who dared to say deserts are dry?!

As always, the RFC diplomatic screen is very clarifying. A cookie for the person who can distinguish the two blocs. Hurray for world war!

Side One: The Netherlands (You), Persia, Japan, Spain, France, England, Germany, Arabia, Sweden, Portugal, Andean France.

Side Two: Ethiopia, Kampuchea, the USSR, Mexico, Mongolia, Turkey.

The Mayans and Americans don't seem to be involved in this at all, and are fighting a war with each other.

:c5gold: Golden cookie!
Small remark : the Ethiopians were already at war with +- half the world before they signed their DP with the USSR. But you couldn't know that ;)
West India Man : Well, that actually happened . Germany asked to become a vassal state, which I refused (Diplomatic demerits, no more tech trading and the like). So their name changed into the German Democratic Republic - or DDR, as we know it. I crushed them, of course.
I also managed to change Russia's State Property to mercantilism with a spy. A bit of an unconvential way of bringing the USSR down. I laughed at their cities starving because of workshopspam. They haven't collapsed yet, though.

You can say that. 45 cities and the second one has 31? Is this just a huge map, or is this a mod?

There are mods enabling Giant/Gigantic size, though.

Actually, you're right. The American flag is different, so chances are he is playing a mod.

You actually counted the dots?

No, on the right, near the scoreboard, it shows how many cities each civ has. It's a feature of BUG mod.
