I don't play much on Emporer, and I don't suspect this is too out-of-the-ordinary to see on high levels, but I had to share a gem of a city Hammi took precious time building, and neglected for a few turns to defend properly...
... so I took it. And burnt it to the ground. Sad, I know, but there was no way I would've held it against all his cavs, artillery, and infantry. Besides, I only *really* wanted to snuff his chances at a culture victory. Oddly, he didn't even kill the wounded infantry I left to die on the rubble pile in the three turns before we declared peace. He did chase my destroyer and transport force (transports had a bunch of wounded tanks and infantry) halfway back home, but a great mediator came along and I gladly took the opportunity to not have my seafood pillaged by his navy.
