There was a 21 page long thread for funny civ 3 leader sayings, and I know there was another civ 4 one, but I didntt want to revive that dead thread.

One of my favorites:

"Forget it. I have wigs that are smarter than you are."
-Louis XIV

"is that a treaty in your pocket or are you just glad to see me" cathine
"come friend lets let us mount our chariots and crushing our enemys and leaving 50,000 copses for the birds to fatten upon it will be way cool"

"I studied on killin' you"- Several, but Ghandi is probably the best one.

"I'd trust Stalin with my life"
When you ask someone who is friendly with Stalin what they think about them.

Welcome! I hope that our two great nations can be firm friends and allies. However if you attack us we shall fight you on the beaches, we shall fight you on the landing grounds, we shall fight you in the fields and in the streets - well, you get the idea...
-Churchill

I always like it when meeting a leader who's nation you've worn down to their last city, and they call your nation inferior. That always makes me chuckle.

In relation to tech trading:

"No thanks, we'd rather win the game"

Can't remember who.

That can be anyone with a tech vital to the space race.

And the actual quote is "We'd rather win the game, thank you very much."

Mighty Russia greets you in friendship. And in a drunken stupor too.
-Peter
He's funny. If you try to talk to him if he is refusing to speak with you, he'll say something along the lines of "Guards! Throw this villain outside my palace before I have another diplomatic incident!"

If you read his bio you find out he wasn't much of a diplomat. Peter rules!

Some other quotes from Peter....he has the best quotes.

Welcome. I am Peter, ruler of all of Russia. You will find me a fair man to deal with - cruel, but fair.

Be brief. I'm trying to give up hacking annoying people to death in a blind rage for Lent.

Give us this or our mighty Cossacks will roam across your ravaged country, burning your cities, stealing your pigs and making lewd gestures at your women!

The funny thing is, is that I did a biography project on Peter in history class. The quotes are even funnier if you understood what he was like.

Julius Caesar (when making peace): "Perfect. Now let's join together and destroy someone else".

Actually this is could be less of a joke and rather a wise advice from a wise ruler...

"Don't you know you are my hero? Everything I hope to be?"

Or something like that ... said by quite a few after you help someone out.

"We shall be visiting your country very soon" -Tokugawa. That isn't the full quote because i can't remember the first part but he is implying that he might be invading.....

"India desires peace with all her neighbours even the really annoying ones like you" -Gandi, when you first make contact

Hello, this is Kublai Khan.

Mongolia is not home right now. Please leave your name and number and we will get back to you when pigs have wings.
