I saw something similar to the OP on a feed earlier this morning. I straddle the whole subject: I've never been on any Social Media ever anywhere (unless you count Forums), don't carry a phone of any kind and never have (unless you count a US Army field radio), but I know what they are - the same way I know what Bubonic Plague is: good knowledge to have, but I can't think of any reason to get any closer to it.
And no, "OK Boomer" does not apply: I was born a year before the Baby Boom started, so I think my group would be called Jurassic Geriatric or something similar.

To be fair it was us who invented this week's thursday, and 2K Games probably has clear orders for it's studios how to handle stuff.
I think that always before announcement of new DLC or patch the official facebook has been more active with posts, like it is now.

Not sure about this game but portraying it in a Mythology spinoff game would be cool and could open up having a Minotaur UU and Labyrinth UI.

More OT, but we actually know quite a bit about the Minoans, just not the specific stuff that Firaxis needs to make a Civ VI-type Civ out of them. We know, for instance, lots about their trade and naval/sea expertise, what they looked like and how they dressed, what their ships, palaces and cities looked like, some about their religion, somethings (mostly what it's NOT) about their language, and some really unique stuff about their entertainment/lifestyle/culture: Minotaur, Bull Dancing, cattle-like Horns of Divinity alters, and lots of references to vulcanic activity: the Minotaur's rumbling has been interpreted as an anthropomorphizing of earthquake noises, fo instance.
What we don't know is the name of a single, solitary Ruler, Minister, General, Admiral, or Fishmonger among them: Minos, it is now suspected, was a Title or possibly a Dynastic Title (family?) rather than a personal name. Kursed Skuirrel! as my cousin Badanuf would say.
It's a crying shame, because they could be a fascinating addition to the game.

Hell, I feel old because I don't use a smart phone (I do have a regular cell phone though). And because some of my conservative views people probably think I'm a boomer. But so many people completely forget my generation exists. Hint: it's the generation after boomers. Young people have no idea what my generation is despite us coming out with the coolest movies and musical genres.
I still stay up on technology, it's important for my job. Though my field probably will never go wireless for security reasons, there are other applications of new technology I have to stay up on. But I can be annoyingly thrifty, and I won't buy something unless I have a use for it. I won't buy something just to fit in or be cool.
I have no idea what Tumblr is. I shamefully admit I have viewed Instagram (through a regular web browser) a couple times to view a couple female celebrity pictures. Not my proudest moment. I'm not sure what snapshot is. I do know what Linkedn is, but I have never used it. I've been working the same job for over 11 years and I really don't want to change jobs. Ideally I will keep working this job until I retire which is probably another 20 years unless I retire early which I do have the money for, but I think I would get bored if I wasn't challenged in some way.
Back on topic, has there been any changes in files lately? I'm thinking there is little chance of an announcement next week either, based on the lack of activity from Firaxis. We could be in for a long wait. I can wait, but it sure would be nice to get something soon. I still have a few more games to finish up my hall of fame every leader list. Working on Mongols now, I'm actually going to draw this game out.

Tumblr is kind of a blogging platform but there are people that save their own porno collection on there..... so you didn't miss anything and I think she means snapchat with snapshot, the one were people put those filters on their face to look different. I am also probarly the only one on here that use instagram to get my news about Civ.
Just wondering but why is everyone considering that there will be a third expension, I remember in that survey they asked what we wanted but also a queston "what would type of genre do you prefer the most?" with answers "Historical, Sci-fi, Mythological and Fantasy". Like they could have just asked what that question, what kind of spin off do you want...
