GA6 - Always War Monarch

Boston is on the governor. Stop this!
I did look at the 1250 save game.Seems I'm responsible
again. After re-capturing Boston from the Sumerians
somehow the program decides to set the governor on
while all other cities have the governor off.

About the armies,I noticed all those funny names
in it.This is not a good idea. You can't see what
unit it is.Only rename them to their original unit,
so no mistakes can be made.

You can see the type of unit, as its stats are in parantheses (ie; Tenna (6.3) means it's a Cavalry. Tenna (2.4) means it's a musket. Tomoyo gets these anime names in my head...).

Wasn't there some kind of trick to unload armies,
so we can unload the muskets from them?

lurker's comment: Not only did this only work in Vanilla, but it would probably be considered an exploit.

Yes it was patched out, long ago. I do feel your pain with a 1 move unit in what was a 4 move army.

They're not anime names... Tenna was the main character of my one and only civ story...

EDIT: I've played five turns so far.

1325AD (0): Remind me again why we have 3-cavalry 1-musket armies?

We have a cavalry that will definately die next turn.

1375AD (10): Cirta razed. Hadrumetum razed. Fustat razed. [85-11]

Not that good a kill ratio, more than twice my other turns combined, but thems the odds when you attack cities without a million armies.

My only concern at this point is the AI building Galleons and settlers to build cities on the unsettled American/Arabian lands. It would be annoying to chase them down.

Not too high of a score, but still a very fun game! :goodjob:

Final minimap:
GA6_mm.JPG

We probably could've beat this score by 10+ turns if we didn't have such bad luck with armies losing 3 early on, and having no immediate coal, but we got lucky with SoZ. Thanks to everyone for making this game as fun as it was, I hope I play with you some day again! :)

Good job, team. I had a lot of fun with this one, and almost pitched my first perfect game. :D

Congrats.
It was very entertaining game and real pleasure to play with you all.
I will be glad to play another SG with such a team. :goodjob:

Special thanks to GA for hosting and turning me on to this fun style of game. I think we all made mistakes (besides Tomoyo! :p ), but learned a little how to play better.

@GA: Are you gonna make us some cool graphs? I would, but I don't have excel. :(

I would vote for something crazy like AWDG continents or maybe achiapelago (but this might bump the difficulty down to monarch level).
