Game crashes after selecting directx

Advice for everyone in here: Please install the current patch 1.0.0.20.

I did, didn't fix it for me.

I got my Civ to work a few days ago but now with the new patch it's right back to not working again. Anyone got any ideas of how to get it going?

Still doesn't work It gives the same error about the msvcr90.dll

I'm back at the verification problem. 1 file keeps failing the verification and it wont fix itself. Well at least I got to play a bit before it crashed again.

This is going to be the last firaxis/2kgames game I ever buy. It doesn't matter how good the game play is nothing is worth this hassle
