Oh man, that last line is a killer. "I strongly recommend this expansion to all Civ V players – though you may need to jump a difficulty level to account for how powerful the new toys are."
Sorry Diety players, I guess you'll need to invent silly self imposed handicaps to get a challenge from the game.
 
I hope they don't overbalance, so you can barely keep happiness under control. This is why you should be able to decide which patched version you want to play. Istead of having to update to each new patch.

The reviewer mentions the AI has improved, but does not say how. Typical for the most part. I hate the fact that it still cannot take cities. This is one area, I was hoping to see improvement in. He also, does not mention the naval AI at all. All in all I take this review, as well as many others, with a grain of salt. One sitting will not be enough to judge the game.

What can you do when the AI is just so persistent in letting you win?
 
I think I'll dial it back down to Emperor before jumping beyond again.
