Your in 880 AC before I have even downloaded the game yet - I have no chance in beating you for the fasted completed game!!!!!!!
But lets see who gets the highest score - that is something that I am very good at.

Yikes!

I just downloaded the game and as far as I can see it's a real challenge. I'm really looking forward to see the results of this experiment, though I know I will probably end up somewhere on the bottom of the final score list

I think by fastest game, TF meant in game years. Either it be by conquest or spaceship (Can't win the quickest by retiring ) Not ACTUALLY by REAL time. Which is where I'm might have an edge. I'm pretty quick at playing but not good at getting high scores.

That is why I said we should have the fastest to finish game category. I might be able to win that one <IMG SRC="http://forums.civfanatics.com/ubb/smile.gif" border=0>
The ppl here are to good for me to have even a slight chance to win at the normal categories. Well, I can hope that they might be too busy to play for the next month. Yeah right!

Well I'm a 925BC, i've gotten a really good start, and have met the Zulus and Mongols, they must be really close...ACK! but I got a 100 gold from the first hut I obtained and 1 citiy out of the 4 total huts, so I hope I'm keeping up with the REST of you!!!. No restart yet, Though I will probably reload once if SOmething bad happens right after I save it but a total of ONLY ONCE, and I'll keep you posted on the restart if it ever happens. Otherwise it's straight through to the end. Good LUCK to all.
 
225 BC, and all I can say is WOW, the game gets really interesting with the barb content. I think at this point I'm losing to only one Civ, but they are really strong, more updates to come.

Bit of a slow start for me as my settlers undertook "The Great Journey".Settled late but snagged a nomad shortly thereafter.Horsemen were kept busy early with barbs attempting to raze several cities but were successfully repelled.

my powergraph at 1000AD.Going the conquer route....I think.
 
All I can say is hidsight is 20/20, there's so many things I could've done with this map, (If I'd only Known) LOL, but I'm still doing pretty well, Finally got rid of the Zulu's and the English, only three more to go, It's currently 540AD, But I have many many problems, guess we'll see how things pan out

I decided to post the top 3 Quick Win games to the Hall of Fame instead of one. I think fast conquest games are as important as high score games. Some of us just don't have the time to play the game to 2020.
 
Thunderfall, do you agree ending this first GOM at 28th of february, so that we really have a Game of the (specific) Month?

I can do that... but only if most of you can finish and submit the saved games by the end of this month.

The year was 1640ad.I got sidetracked building wonders early as I couldn't figure out how I was going to play.Indecision is bad.

Then I had to get Metallurgy as the Mongols had built the Great Wall.Walls were running up my casualty list.It took 10 dips to get regular walls in the Egytptian capitol.

I thought the Great Wall only worked versus Barbs....plus I agree that we should end the GotM on Feb28. I am doing so bad on this one that I want to try another
