Game Saturn

I had problems when trying to connect the game host. Eventually I was able to do it, but several times "Contacting host..." failed with message "Connection attempt to host has timed out".

Anyone else having problems?

Dear Slugking

We have been peacefull neighbours for long time, but our people havent made social bounds since it looks like your nation wanted to live on trees in jungle, and my empire was trying to have civilised life, this wasnt souch deal for me untill my border vilages started to report mysterious lost of food from granaries and fields, it took long time to investigate this case, but when sudenly appeard witness with dead in his eyes and words "I I I..... I just just .. saaww man with clubbb and shieeeeld and terifiiiaaainggg maaassskkk on his headddd..." Guardsmans run to see what happend and they caught this thief, he was tortured and his last words were "My master is going to get you unprepared and coqueer you...."

Acording to this we are announcing that we are going to put military guard in your cities and investiget by force who is behind these actions..
We are declaring your cities as ours untill it is all solved, So iam kindly asking you give us control to all of your cities including capital within next Year sesion, or we will take them by force...

Regards Toch Emperor of Czech republic..

Toch has declared war on SlugKing!

How will it turn out? I suspect a complete massacre. Absolutely nothing he can do, or that DMOC could have done. Some people simply get screwed by their start positions... no production with the jungles and nothing for defense (copper, iron, horses, nothing), and no allies able to give resources, ah well. I told him he probably wouldn't have to participate in the game for very long.

Turn order:

- Toch
- SlugKing

In my personal opinion, I predict a plako/toch allied powerhouse mowing through your whole continent. Just my guess though. ;)

Is anyone not clear on the code of war in simutanious pitboss games? You have to take turns to avoid double moves and unfair tactics like that. I'll probably post them later but I have to go now.

Well since Toch doesn't seem to be polite enough to post this himself...

Hmmmm.... You underestimeted me...

Nah.. iam telling you guys he knows to much for almost isolated civ :):)

Lets see who else will join to grab some land...

Wah, my ninja edit! Well you were online, nothing posted, and then you went offline. Then you came back yay. ;)

Man I already knew that stuff from DMOC's posts on the forums. His screwed start with no strategic resources is no secret.

Lets see who else will join to grab some land...

Very true, I expect Elkad to join in on the action.

Well, an interesting development - the first war of the game! The outcome is fairly obvious already, but I'll be interested to see whether anyone else joins in on the action. :)

They've certainly been pretty close in tech trading. I can't get in first with any trade with Toch any more, everything always goes to plako first. :p

Just be aware that other nations do notice when there are obvious preferential relations between players. ;)

Very true, I expect Elkad to join in on the action.

And I have. Sorry SlugKing. This was planned before you ever took control.

Turn order
Toch
SlugKing
Elkad.

Awkward order, I intended to declare at the same time as Toch. However, I got stuck at work for 14 hours.

And while new lands are being eaten congratulations on Elucidus on successfully getting a late Temple *grumble grumble :p* and Toch on his shiny statue thing.

By the way Toch I'm sure you didn't mean anything malicious, but you're not supposed to log onto the game after SlugKing makes his move. You need to try to keep the turn order so we all know no one is cheating.

I toughtit is concerning only unit moves, and city build whips etc... If i could not join after he made his turn would have to delay mine for some time and it could realy slow the game i was just doing some diplo bussines...

Well you're not supposed to as there's no way for us to tell, but as long as you're not being dishonest about it (and I'm not accusing you of that) it doesn't matter too much.

hmm..well i'd rather handle this strict in the future..as later others might want to have the same relaxed rules

Yeah, it's not about trust or anything - it's just a matter of removing any possibility for quarrels. If you log in before and after someone, even if you didn't do anything military related on one of the logins, they still have a means for accusation - which can lead to bitter arguments. Better to just avoid any possible confrontation by simply logging in once per turn while at war. ;)

Server appears to be back online, and Toch/Clamburger un-tech traded. :crazyeye:

Well, the turn order between Toch, SlugKing and Elkad no longer matters. :p That was a surprisingly fast war... just three turns. Horse archers sweeping through archer-guarded cities, fun. :yup: SlugKing doesn't really want to play on without cities, so he deleted/gifted his last two exploring Quechuas away and is now this game's first casualty.

Obviously time to update the map with this new development. :king: Also a few new wonders and religions. Congrats to Scuum on bringing religion to his heathen continent!
