It can be used any time. It has the following effect:

If it is used at the same time someone else uses it, it has no effect. It wastes both tickets.

If it is used and no one else uses a ticket, that means Smurfette changes hands at start the next phase (day, or night)

Correct.

Otherwise, it would be possible to use the steal action as an investigative tool. If someone we think is townie has Smurfette stolen from them, and no one claims doing it, then it was probably mafia. Then, stealing her back, would reveal that person as mafia.

Quite a clever design, really.

John, you're never, ever going to get an example of me murdering my own teammates. I am not mafia. If you cling to that theory, then I can't be bothered.

I'm willing to entertain the entertaining, but as Zack suggested, certain things are insulting to our collective intelligence.


As for why you became suspect, you supported my idea of lynching Zack anyway.

It might have been metagaming, but I therefore assumed you were mafia.
