GameFlood Downloads for Version 0.25

Yes, Civkid, I know how to follow the directions which are printed on the screen. It takes me back to the download page, with a note at the top which says "Your download will begin shortly, if it does not, click on this link." After a time, the message goes away, but no download begins. Clicking on the link simply takes me to the download page, without that message.

Oddly enough, this time using Firefox seems to have worked, though that has regularly not been the case in the past. The browser I typically use is the MSN browser...Gameflood might want to figure out a way to get their downloads to work with it, and apparently also with Opera, according to a previous post.

If successful d/ling third time using the download manager (and no joy what so ever trying directly) pop up blocker switched off as was ABP, I'll throw up a torrent.
I've tried with Firefox & IE I'm running XP Pro and have Zone Alarm for security any one else having problems have a similar config? During the download process the FfH .exe is showing as d/ling as it's size does increase

Meh. I ended up uninstalling the GameFlood manager, deleting all traces of it, then opening up internet exploder and manually download it. At least I got decent speeds re-downloading it, at least until 95%, when it dropped from 450k/s to 0k/s for around 2 minutes, then went back to 450k/s...

OK, here's the solution so you can start your download, I'll exxplain the problem afterwards so you can have something to read while you wait.

1. Go to http://www.gameflood.com/manager/
2. Click on "Download content without installing the Download Manager"
3. Go Here: http://www.gameflood.com/Mashup/Ind...ll-from-Heaven-II-0-30/Display/intModID/11919
4. Click the "Play" arrow under the description and select "download via browser"

theres no solution if we've downloaded but cant get the manager to work?

Done that but it still puts me in the repeating loop described by others (pop ups and abp disabled)

If you're having problems with this, clear your cookies/cache and try again. Also, I know this process works with IE and Firefox. If you still have problems please PM me with as much detail as possible.

The Problem:

As you know our application is a "manager," but right now it thinks that the Fall from Heaven update is in a format that can be COMPLETELY managed (100% start-to-finish, download, installation, and launch, rather than just downloaded). This is actually a setting in our database rather than a problem with the download manager. At the moment the setting is wrong; the site should not be telling the manager that the mod is fully managed content. I can get that solved Monday morning.

Unfortunately you will have to re-download the mod as the application doesn't save downloads in a way that I can give you easy instructions for retrieval. I apologize for that but I assure you there's good reasons for it.

PS: It's 4m here. I will be passing out soon wether I want to or not, but I'll be up and at the keyboard as soon as I can in the morning.

Try IE and let me know what happens.

Oh my God, the "Sonic Card" banner ad on this page is more irritating than my ex girlfriend.

i'd recommend firefox and the adblocker add-on (haven't seen an ad in ages!)

Normally that's what I use, but for some of the forums I visit I stay with IE. Forums are supported by the ads they serve up, so I save FF & adblocker for the truly obnoxious sites I sometimes have to visit. :D

Nat I've tried Firefox, IE & Opera without any joy all of the above operations followed in detail (including clearing cookies) Still no joy, many thanks for your continued assistance

OK can you give me a full rundown on the "repeating loop?" I had to disable my own GameFlood installation and download via HTTP, but I never encoutnered ny looping.

Do you still have your download manager running in your system tray? If so, right-click it and close it, then try the process again. Let me know if that was the situation.
