ok gameflood has got me pissed off.

1 i cant find the .exe files for the mod
2 i've been tryin to get this blooding thing to work for days and its starting to drive me up the wall.

Ok where does the ffh2 exe file go once its downloaded i've checked every last place on my system even searched it thrice for anything over 200 megabits

i wanna play this awesome mod but gameflood total sucks in my opinion.

I didn't d/l from gameflood (and if I did it wasn't an issue), but this is what should happen:

Download mod
Run the program (that you downloaded) that installs it into Civ4
Run Civ4
Load FfH2

Are you saying that you're downloading FfH2 and can't find where you're saving it so that you can let the program install? You can have it save to your desktop I'd imagine.

Are you using Windows? I know some people have had trouble if using Unix or something else.
Some people have talked of setting up a Torrent download, but I know Kael is opposed to it so I am not sure if they did or not.

Jinto1980 and Mr. Woodall and Others:

I think that I am perhaps having a similar issue to Jinto1980: I installed Gameflood's download manager and used the download manager to download ffh2 v 0.23c. Now, the download manager lists ffh2 v 0.23c as "Loaded" and "Ready", but:

(1) when I right-click on the file from the Gameflood download manager, click "Play Now", I get a message "Script exec error: t24.lua:55: attempt to index local 'list' (a nil value): -1"

and

(2) when I try to first open CivIV vanilla (i don't have bts yet) and load the ffh2 mod from there, it is nowhere to be found, and I can't find any files which might relate to ffh2 anywhere else in my system, including the folder where Gameflood is located and the Firaxis folder in my hard drive.

Any suggestions? This seems like an awesome mod and I'd love to play it, but I can't get it to work.

Thanks in advance,

MrClark62000

I'd suggest downloading the old-fashioned .exe files and installing the mod that way.

(You don't *have* to use the gameflood download manager thingy in order to get it from there.)

Did you download the vanilla version of FFH2, or the version for BTS? PM me the URL of the FFH2 version you're downloading and the following file...

C:\Program Files\GameFlood\gameflood.log

...and we'll go from there.

I had a lot of trouble with downloading from Gameflood as well, it kept offering me a .html "file" to download but i could never get the actual mod. (FfH2 0.25 Changelog thread pages 9&10).

What worked for me was to try a different web browser. I don't remember which one i was using originally but try one or two others and see if that solves the problem.

Good luck, i can definitely understand your frustration!

It sounds like you selected the option for managed downloads without installing our manager. If you go to www.gameflood.com/manager with the first browser you were having problems with, you can select the option to download without installing the manager and I bet that will solve all your problems. :)

I can't see FfH2 0.23

I only see patch c and the media pack.

FfH 0.23c is the complete patched version, everything you need, its not only a patch. just download the only 0.23c file you see on gameflood and its sufficient (plus you will want to have the mediapack)

I didn't had any trouble downloading the installer (the .exe) from my Linux system. The Torrent was my idea, but it was never created as Kael is opposed to torrents and i won't do anything the team would not agree to.

I think the best go for anyone having trouble with the manager is to download the normal .exe installer. As for myself, i always prefer to download installer and install things manually then let ANY software install something on my computer. No offense to Gameflood but i won't let any website install something directly on my machine.

None taken. :)

Our manager is just that though; a manager. All it does is handle the content posted on GameFlood, and then only by end-user choice. If you ever decide to try it, let me know. :)
