Well, they add their own "christian" rating to the ESRB Rating.

Just read their reviews. Age of Empires is Okay, probably because of the Crusades, hehe, but Deus Ex... foul language, scantly clad women - a big NO NO! :)

Civ3 is to 93% Christian... :)

Civilization III is a Role Playing Game (RPG)

BTW, there's a Catholic Church rating organization for movies, too.

Their rating system said:
Occult/Supernatural:
Symbols and actions in a game that represent pagan deities, psychic powers, Satanism, magic, or unnatural occurrences.
They don't like psychic powers!?

almenconi.com just made themselves an enemy...

Age of Mythology is a game in which the player must exercise his mind as he tries to take down his opponents. Unfortunately, you can't win scenarios with everyone agreeing to make peace. If this game didn't contain all of the supernatural powers and mythical creatures that it does, it would have received a higher rating.

I almost fell out of my chair reading that

Well it would be intreasting to play on an earth with a 10,000-year-old landscape...

well they say they don't like Grand Theft Auto, but they apparently they were able to play it long enough to be able to buy the strip club.

I love their review of GTA Vice City. You can almost imagine them playing the game with their hands over their eyes, peeking through their fingers, and saying "Oh, gosh, no!!!!".

I really, really hope they didn't get corrupted by all of their investigations into the sordid underbelly of so-called entertainment....

90-100% (A) These games are free of virtually all violence, language, sexual, and occult content or material. They also contain Biblical material and/or educational material.

What if the people reading this is non-Christian? Would they take offense to a game with that? And how does that make a game better?

Funny most of the other games I like aren't in the A range.

Victory at Hebron receives 3 bonus points for being a game that promotes the importance of Biblical Values.
Victory at Hebron got the highest review on the site. It seems to be similar to Yu-Gi-Oh, except based on the bible.

Thanks dude. This is one of funniest site I have ever seen. Seriously!

There are a lot of sites like that.

I'd say Civ3 is a mix of RPG and strategy. You can play it as pure strategy if you want, but I like to role play a little. The true meaning of RPG is not just having stats and leveling but playing a role.

Hahaha, what in the world does the age of the earth have to do with evolution? What nitwits. The best part so far is the Deus Ex review in which the reviewer raves about how great the game is and then proceeds to give it a failing grade. Hilarious.
