Games you want Sequels to

Something like this..?

GTA-VC-cover.jpg

Errr, I was thinking of "Ancient" Rome. So let's steal someone's chariot and hide it in a secret cave!

Kid Icarus 3D
Ice Climber 2

Man, I'm genuinely surprised by lack of any mention of Ice Climber and Conker's Bad Fur Day.

well......in SSBM, the ice climbers were FAR from the best, but in SSBB, they're actually ok....

They're currently my favorite character!

@GoodEnoughForMe: Yeah, but Conker's Bad Fur Day wasn't that bad.

IGN gave it a 9.9/10. Yes, I agree that it is so unreasonable, but the current Gamerankings average is an 89%, so it should be a fine game. It even won IGN's praise in 2003 when it put CBFD as the 46th best video game ever.

For the last bloody time, we don't care what some reviewer gives it. It doesn't nesecarely mean anything.

EDIT: Time to use the ignore feature :)

The gamerankings average for Civ3 is 89%. That doesn't sound like near-perfection to me. Even Age of Empires II has a higher average (actually, a higher average than all the Civ games except Civ4. Same with World of Warcraft, Shadow of the Colossus, Super Mario Sunshine, Rome: Total War, Call of Duty, Alpha Centauri, etc.)

Do you have your own opinion?

And, on topic, I'll second Rock Band. Although they'll make one, I'm going to gurantee it.

How about "Hunt the Wumpus?" Now there's a game that demands a sequel. :p

I guess there's Andrew Plotkin's "Hunter, In Darkness," but that's more of a re-interpretation.

On a side note, Swein never ceases to amaze me with his insistence on referring to critical reviews, usually in the absense of his own opinion. He kind of reminds me of the Oracle, from Mark Twain's The Innocents Abroad. In any case, we need to incorporate this into some kind of CFC Drinking Game.

C'mon guys, I said that I totally disagree. I mean, seriously, you should see how they gave a 9.9/10 to JADE EMPIRE (which also sounds stupid).

It has to do with you running to IGN or Gamerankings to decide weather a game is good. There are cases where it might be important to bring up a review, but most of the time you bring up such sites it's not important. Form your own opinion and if you haven't played a game, just don't talk about it instead of running to IGN.

Generally, though, there's no reason to bring them up at all. I'd only bring up an article or game review if it's particularly insightful or somehow unique, and that doesn't happen very often.

Can't spell ignorant without IGN.

Also, Jade Empire sounds like a nice title, I like jade. Havn't played nor seen the game it'self though.

I think it's an RPG......

To be specific, it's an RPG available only on the original Xbox. It's created by BioWare (the company that made amazing games like Baldur's Gate, Baldur's Gate II, Neverwinter Nights, and Knights of the Old Republic, and most recently Mass Effect). And it takes place in Imperial China.

Seemed like a decent blast when I had a chance to play it, but possibly a bit repetitive. Would only get it on budget.

Wait, wait, I'm doing it wrong. PC Gamer gave it 89%. End opinion.

It's on the PC as well. If you are going to rely on internet sites to tell you what ot tnink then do it properly.

Same here, just didn't seem like it had any kind of long lasting appeal, but I thought they were making a sequel to it?

Also, another expansion for COH would be nice, I havnt played the opposing fronts one yet, but it didn't look to exciting. They need to add Russia and that would revive that game for me.
