<img src="http://www.civfanatics.com/images/e3logo.gif" align=right>I am extremely delighted to see the new screenshots in <a href="http://www.gamespy.com/e3/civ3/" target=link>GameSpy</a>'s Civ3 preview. I think you'll be greatly impressed too. <IMG SRC="http://forums.civfanatics.com/ubb/smile.gif" border=0>
The <a href="http://www.gamespy.com/asp/image.asp?/e3/civ3/image18.jpg" target=link>main map screen</a> now has shadow of war activated and each unit on the screen has a green health bar at the left. In the <a href="http://www.gamespy.com/asp/image.asp?/e3/civ3/image2.jpg" target=link>barter table screen</a>, a simple expandable thread system is used. It displays the available options when you click on it. The last new screenshot appears to be a <a href="http://www.gamespy.com/asp/image.asp?/e3/civ3/image20.jpg" target=link>investigate city screen</a> (note the Eagle eye in the middle of the screen). The new graphics for things like trade and luxuries make the screen look even more refined.
Firaxis was not joking when they say they reach a new milestone everyday. GameSpy predicts a Fall 2001 release date for Civ3. It sounds unlikely but nothing is impossible. <IMG SRC="http://forums.civfanatics.com/ubb/wink.gif" border=0>
