I’m sure some might mention ‘Goodfellas’, but I thought there were too many slow, boring scenes in it.

I wont mention the American ones I love, there are too many, Non-US it has to be Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, and the (kinda) sequel, Snatch. Absolutley classic the pair of them. ;D

I actually watched Snatch. I forgot about it, I'll add it to my list.

I never new it was a sort-of sequel.

Agreed, I thought it sucked as well.

What about The Godfather 3, it might not be as good as part 1 or 2, but it is still a great movie.
how about donnie brasco. and if you want a nonamerican movie you could try Stickmen.
Its a New Zealand film, and its very good. Theres also cassino and good fellas. and Blow and Once apon a time in America.
Also all of the other movies are great but i have not seen American Me or Colors.

They've been 2 very good ones

and i'll say snatch, that was good too.
It was a 'sort of' sequel cos i think it was the same director, and the cast was pretty much the same, they just added brad pitt.

I don't know if you could really consider it a gangsta movie, but "A Bronx Tale" was one of my more liked.

Casino, Heat, Once Upon a Time in America, Killing Zoe and True Romance.

Cant think of any good non-us gangster movies except Snatch and LSATSB.

Keep reminding me of good movies. I liked Casino a lot, Once Upon a Time in America is a classic.
