You should keep this unit headgearer, make it blue, and with the "sailor mini cape" on the shoulders. It would look even more different from the reguar infantry. that would make a very nice what if marine.EDIT: The reason I want to use the kriegsmarine hat is to better set the unit apart from regular infantry. It would be a bit unhistorical but I think it would be more or less used in a hypothetical role anyway in Civ. In Civ players would be using it to invade the enemy from sea, something the German marines did very little of (if at all) during the war.
What do other people think? Should I go with this unit or should I go for a more classic "sailor" look like what is in Steph's picture?
And France, and ItalyHello Gary Childress
Steph has fictively right! MarineInfantrie the opportunity to take each nation with its own weapon exception England and the United States and Japan had special units!
You bought the suit?
It looks great! I vote for lighter blue, but a)I`m no expert and b)gunpowder eras are not my thing, I may never see this unit in action![]()
I like the sailor outfit, but I think it should be lighter in color. If you have a ppsh that would also make a good Russian naval infantry.
I have a ppsh and was going to do Russians next. I need to color the hat black though for the Russians I believe.
Edit: Also for the Russians I will do a naval infantry with a blue striped T-shirt on as well.
Hell, you could put an AK-47 on him and make him a modern sailor. I agree with BadKharma, it should be lighter.
Lighter than my second example or is that about the right color?
Should almost put ammo belts over each shoulder like in Enemy at the Gates, when Khrushchev landedEDIT: For the Russians I will do a dark color, maybe almost black. I have a color plate of a Russian naval infantry from WW II and they had very dark uniforms.
I just see the dark blue one. One of your later posts (193) says: "I could do this:" and then there's nothing.
That's the post that I have a lighter color. Can you see this pic?

The view from the back looks a little darker than the front because the lighting isn't rigged as well on the back but the front view is the actual color.
