I thought I saw that Professional Army meant you only needed 50% of the resources, too, as well as 50% of the gold. So just as powerful as before. Arguably more powerful.
IZ's also still weaksauce, but possibly the new power system will be enough of a boost for them.
I did laugh when Ed suggested to Carl that he could get to the Industrial Age faster by building 3 Workshops. Carl ignored him. Livestream or not, Carl clearly wasn't going to feed the fallacy that IZs are something to build early.
I'm guessing it's a project so you'll have the choice between increased production from fossil fuels or remaining environmentally friendly (read: not being destroyed by nature's wrath).
Probably a few like Hungary or the Netherlands. It could also be that they were too lazy to fill in the lists for all the civs, or that they were more strict when naming mountain ranges (I mean, it's not like Britain really has a whole lot of mountain ranges either).
On a related note, I am happy that Bologna is included. While I am not a fan of “Italy” as a civ, I do feel that the medieval Italian city-states need representation in a game about civilization, and was a little disappointed that an Italian city-state civ/CS was not included in the last round after we saw that plague scene in the trailer. Hopefully, Venice or Milan also make an appearance, even if as a CS.
