General Election

My quiz came out like this...
Conservative: 14.55%
Green: 20.00%
Labour: 34.55%
Liberal Democrat: 30.91%
which is revealing because in the past I've often voted either Liberal or Conservative. But then Labour has moved a long way into the centre since then. Another surprising thing was finding out on the info pages of the same website that the Greens' policies were very close to Communism as far as I can make out.

I'm in a "marginal" constituency, so I guess there'll be a lot of media interest in my town tonight.

I've just finished my succession game and it is way past my bedtime, I am off to my pit after this post.. Just looking at the results on telly and it is going to be a landslide to labour again. Let's just hope this kicks the opposition into shape and we can have a strong parliament in this country.

It's just past 2am, 4 hours after the polls closed, and 238 of the 659 seats have already been declared. Of those 238, 210 are for Labour! I guess you can call that a landslide.

Is it any surprise?

Conservative: 12.5
Green: 30.0
Labour: 27.5
Liberal Democrat: 30.0

ITS A KNOCKOUT!!!!!!!!
Conservatives soundly thrashed with six of the best, and a hot crumpet!
Even as an Aussie who doesn't like everything Blair has done, I am pragmatic enough to go for the lesser of evils.
Actually, if there was a really, really appealing Evil Party out there, maybe not so.

Methinks this is a precursor to the Federal, and State polls down here. At the moment, anything named Labour is winning by a street, and doesn't it make those Tory bastards squirm in their chateau's!
The little Hague boy has quit and is running home to mum with tail firmly between his pair of Longshanks ponies, and isn't the schadenfreude great...
