(I'm still more of a vanilla player, so I don't know all the features of espionage yet)

haha we have 3 workers doing that :) Ok i will be able to finish up in ~2-3 hours. Wife wants to hang outside for a bit
 
Hold the turn...tonight has been my delayed 21st/family graduation party. I'm a little tipsy, and want to comment...but need time to sober up.
 
Ok guys we all need to discuss this more.... If I was Kaz this is what I would do.

they learnt from their last mistake (or watching us) that 2 workers are better than 1. So they have 2 workers in their city now. Those will move NW NW and road to the NW of their mini stack.

Then they move those 4 units as well as who knows how many HA from that city to the copper tile.

Then they advance on TKY.

This is what we currently have for units:
Woody III Axe N of Zero
Shock, Str 2 & Medic Axe in Zero.
CGII LB in Zero
Spear in Zero
Sentry Chariot in Zero

STR I chariot E of TKY
unpromoted 2/2XP longbow E of TKY
archer E of TKY
Spear E SE of TKY

that's it folks. where do they all go?
 
Ok somethign else to consider:

we have a 1 in 3 chance agaisn't the Kaz trireme:
If we win:
4 xp.
can move back to the ocean (a.k.a then it is 1 v 1 but we have str 1.)
if we promote and heal then we can block on the coast. they have less than 1 in 5 odds on us.

If we lose (keep in mind 66% of the time we would)
So what?
Kaz has 2 triremes. if they did get a galley, 2 triremes + galley easily kills us and lands anyways
LOSING is almost BETTER. (how you ask?!?!)
well with no ship kaz might decide to attack the east.
which is perfect!!!
any unit going east is better than a unit going west. We will have a LB in PM soon enough and there is alreayd 1 archer + another soon to be done in OO. IMO more units there = better success in the west.

And that brings up the west...we all see those units...we don't want them building a bigger stack. So why not take the chance in the east?

why are we 1 in 3? they have a 10% advantage - does that give them that big an edge?

I'd attack, sure. Why have a navy if you aren't going to use it...

Kaz doesn't have Engineering yet, right? So it's 2 turns to that copper tile.

Near Zero:

How many horse archers could they have? I see 3 maces and a cat there - how many HA could they have?

I think the forces in zero should be enough to hold it for right now, especially once we get those walls up.

I'd like to leave the extra LB and spear on the hill east of TKY, move the archer in and fortify and move the chariot in. It's a weak defense, but getting the archer fortifying will help it. then we can move the spear and LB to whichever city is threatened. My guess is that they go to zero, though.

How long until those walls are up?

oh - if we can, I'd like clear the trees on the route to TKY - if they move on Zero, we should do that.

No it is one turn once they buld a road. 1 turn for 2 move units as well. However you are correct ... it is 2 moves if they have elephants, cats or more maces in their city there.

Correct. Zero is easy to Hold. It is TKY I am worried about.

Good Plan. We need a unit SW of TKY though. to stop MS from killign the warrior. Sure it is a long shot but no point taking a risk.

Walls are in Zero before they can attack.

TKY didn't have plans for walls. should it?

As for the trees...we have 4 workers on clear cuttign duty right now :goodjob:
 
Did you notice that HAs can attack Zero from their city immediately? So remember to always keep good defences in Zero.

edit: Also, why don't we use our sentry chariot to scout a bit more, by placing him in Zero and then moving SW-NE every turn? That'd let us see another 2 tiles, wouldn't it?
 
Hey, I wanted to hold the turn! Both me and Memphus were smashed last night...I think the Pyramid pub was a bad idea. :P

So far we've been unorthodox in our strategies, and taken 50/50 chances, but taking a 1/3 chance with that logic Memphus gave...just holy **** dude.

But yeah to Kaz...that's something Im always trying to be aware of...
 
Well, it was a little nuts... but we won either way, actually (since we are over the limit in units anyway, and they weren't going to get a promotion)

Right now, the strategic situation over there puts Kaz on the defense - they have to dedicate a trireme to keeping us from pillaging their fishing boats

Psychologically, too, Kaz has to wonder what the hell we are capable of. That's why i think they'll go for Zero - it's safer.

Oh - bridges come with construction - I always think they come with engineering.
 
Ok Guys Drivinghome from work it has been a 12 hour day. but it ended well :goodjob:

We have asked for a Pause we need to figure out what to do now.

Kaz's stack (first one) is dead. what now.
 
Kaz just lost 42k worth of soldiers

We lost 7k.

I don't like working with soldiers in this amount, because I don't think it's a fair representation.

We just lost a C1 chariot and an unpromoted archer for 2 C1 maces, and unpromoted mace, cat, HA and C1 chariot.

WTH?!
