General Turn Discussion

:salute: can do from work tmrw or later tonight. I won't write up all the brances of possiblity.

needless to say we should not of won the first battle...that was supposed to be a sacrafice (like the next 2-3 attacks). the result of winning the first battle (10% odds) was that it meant the spearman in Zero never moved and still has his +25% fort bonus (think elephant) this is why paris went 3rd after I saw we won battle #1.
 
Ok so that we can end turn. I think we stress our system for 1 more turn and get HBR in 1. (we did tell Saturn we could do that after all)
To Do this CK needs to build research, FC wealth, PM wealth, Sb research.
We also need to Settle Geronimo in IS and hire 1 scientist (we still grow)

This allows
IS to finish archer & grow
JD to finish Barracks & grow

And out front line TKY, Zero and DT focused on the war.

Afterwards we can then build HA & Elephants which is a huge help to us.


So what else does that leave?

3 chops go to Zero
Walls thsi turn
LB next turn (with overflow)

1 Chop goes to TKY for a chariot to defend DT.

After KAz moves we can then decide our next worker action.

We have alot of promos next turn but our units need thier :health: back (hence the walls this turn) Because if Kaz has more fast movers they can do a second stack on the same tile next turn.

If everyone agrees / comments we can finish this off and never actually pause the game...

I'll leave it overnight though so more people can comment.
 
Ugh, I wish what ever member it is of MS that's holding up patching would speed things up, it'd make it much easier...

One thing I didn't see in the turn report is protection for the middle city we have between the war front and our core (dragon tears?) We have a barb warrior incoming, what do we have for protection?

Other then that everything looks good. :) I just wish the RNG was this nice to me in SP games... ;)
 
FYI Guys I am around all day and have a close eye on the turn timer.

I will make sure we pause if the MM for our front line isn't complete. I havn't paused the game yet because we re-offered OB to MS, as well as peace to Kaz (they denied it) and if you log in with diplo open and the game paused you are stuck.

Everything is set up right now so all we need to do is have our 4 workers chop. But as mentioned I will be able to get in and do that.
 
The plan for DT is to chop a chariot out of IKY. I missed it too, at first ;)

They really did reject peace? Wonder how they'll feel with walls, 2 LB's and a spear in Zero....

I want to see what the power graph shows after the turn roll!
 
We're are now #1 in power at 200k soldiers, second place is at 190k.

The picture will be funnier though...

Also, to mention something that might be useful (some day), though it's kinda a bug/exploit.

If a unit wins a battle and gets enough xp for a new level, you can't promote him that turn, everyone knows that. However, if the unit still had a "open" promotion left, he can now promote twice. So, say you have a 4xp unpromoted unit, and you attack and kill an enemy, bringing you to 5 xp, you can promote the unit 2 times, and as such, will get the health bonus twice. This is sometimes useful when you're mopping up (Drill) units, fighting high odds battles, but where you'll likely suffer some damage.

edit: I haven't tested this recently, so I don't know if it was patched at some point, but I can't remember reading it.

We have a horse archer building, but it won't be ready to help take those cats, right?

I guess we should be happy they are sending us units 3, 4 and 5 at a time. If they had 3 three of those stacks as one stack, we might have been in trouble.

Move workers for more clear cutting? Do you guys think they'll give us another turn? Mace on LB behind walls is a losing proposition, and that elephant on the spear should lose... but if they hit us with the horse archer first, the elephant is better than 50/50 on the spear.

I dunno - I'd guess they move the elephant and maces N onto the road, and everything else takes their place. Then next turn they hit us with the cats and assault the city.
 
The problem isn;t Kaz, it's dealing with the barbs that are the problem...

Kaz can't actually take Zero this turn unless they have 1 HA in Taruz and get lucky, or have multiple fast movers.
 
We have 3 seperate choices for in the SW. I will write them all up here shortly...

But they are:

1.Attack Again

2. Hold up & Hunker Down

3. Go to a Golden Age.
